    You turned the engine backwards. Always check the opposite cylinder and make sure your in valve overlap. Have seen flywheel put on wrong and timing hole is of no use.

    So is it supposed to turn counter clock wise or clockwise ? After the turning tool and pin is inserted

    @@miguemota8652 Engine rotates clockwise as seen from the front. When bolt/pin goes in the flywheel, you should be on TDC 1 or 6. So number one are six valves should be loose. The other end both valves should be tight. That is called overlap. So if your on TDC one, both valves should be loose and on number six both valves should be tight. I have seen flywheel put on wrong. When adjusting the overhead, back the engine brake lash screw out. You will not set the lash correctly if you don't. If you have a ACERT engine, you have to back the IVA lash screw out.
