Southern Railway West Country Class 4-6-2 Pacific Steam Locomotive 34046 "Braunton" heads south along the west coast main line and through Bamfurlong on the night of Saturday 8th June 2024.
The steam locomotive was working a late running light engine & support coach move from Carnforth to Crewe. She was heading home having worked a part of "The Lakelander Tour".
47805 and 57311 doing Leeds to Preston via Hebden Bridge, Rochdale abd Bolton and the steam taking the train to Carlisle via Shap abd South doen the beautiful Cumbrian Coast.
This was filmed 2 minutes prior to official sunset time. Light holding quite well from the unfortunately as always busy main road. My usual spot at lineside is too dark most of the time around sunset.
