33012 and 50008 work 1Z33 at Wymondham and Hoveton & Wroxham

Ойын-сауық

The second and final mainline visitor (apart from D7659) to the North Norfolk Railway’s ‘Rails and Ales’ event, joint with their Mixed Traction Gala, appeared not too long after Locomotive Services 37667 in the previous video.
Two shots of the Branch Line Society charter are seen, at Wymondham and Hoveton & Wroxham.
First up, 33012 is seen heading up the bank out of Wymondham at Spinks Lane. The train would go in to Norwich from here to allow people who wished to ‘part fare’ the train from Norwich to Sheringham, to board, at a supplement price of £30.
Finally, 50008 lives up to its name as it thunders past Belaugh Lane after coming out of Hoveton & Wroxham. After this, the train would undertake a final reversal at Cromer before heading for the North Norfolk Railway via the (rarely used by charter services) road crossing on to their metals of bullhead rail and steep gradients.
Both shots are under the working of 1Z33 from Eastleigh to Sheringham, via Winchester, Basingstoke, Reading, Slough, Hanwell, Greenford, South Ruislip, High Wycombe, Banbury, Leamington Spa, Dorridge, Tyseley, Water Orton, Nuneaton, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Peterborough, March, Thetford, Norwich and Cromer… phew!
Giving it a rest last year, we’re back this year and are raring to go for the Norfolk gala, but this year is a bit different, as a different approach has been planned, so sit tight to see what’s in store, soon.
Thanks for watching, South East Train Hub.
