A few more... 1. You can jump off small buildings/trains and land on your horse, even if it’s moving 2. If you start sprinting and press Y/ or triangle your horse starts running so you can get on, on the move 3. The nachodoches saddle with the hooded stirrups is the best in the game (little to no stamina drain) 4. Gus (naturalist butcher) sells a trinket that permanently increases horse bonding by 10% 5. You don’t need to be on your horse to change weapons or outfits just near it.

3:36 speeds 4 and 5 would actually both be considered a canter, because the horse is going at speed using all four of its legs in formation, while speed 6 would be a gallop because the horse is using two of its legs together to go at high speeds

Did you know you can hitch your horse to the ground anywhere? Your Best Horse video showed up in my recommended today - glad it did. I’m a RDO player from day 1 and your videos are very well done and fun to watch - new sub! So to hitch you horse anywhere - lightly (half press) the Y hitch button until you dismount and hitch your horse to the ground. If you’re in camp and do this after a minute or so your horse will walk and hitch itself to the hitching posts. When hitched to the ground your horses cores will replenish and your horse won’t run away.

Learned a lot that I didn't know from your vid. Just one thing that I didn't see you mention is that if you rapid press whistle, your horse will come running faster than with the long whistle, usually at a full sprint. I only use that when I need to gtfo of wherever I'm at fast, but it's saved me from more than a few unnecessary deaths and saved me time when chasing running bounties after dealing with their posse

That's because the short whistles are for various speeds of "come here" and the long whistle is the "follow me" whistle.

Sometimes you can even even hitch your horse to the ground to help increase bonding and to keep it from running away. I believe you have to hold the “break” button and then hold triangle to do it.

You can use the Left/Right sidestep at high speed to dodge obstacles, useful in horseraces And you can also hitch your horse on almost every single tree on the map You can even hitch on the ground (grass, etc...), just hold Triangle and you’re good 😌

I learned a couple things in this video. Nice clear, straightforward presentation! I'd like to see a video like this on melee/extreme closeup combat actions like push, execute, tackle, grab, choke, etc. I know some of these, but keep forgetting in the heat of the moment. I'm sure there are other videos I can look up on this, but like I said, I liked your presentation style. I don't know if such a video would be your kind of thing, but just thought I'd throw it out there. As a bit of minor criticism, I do have to say that the video title makes it sound like all 33 of these are advanced controls or tricks, when in reality that count includes the absolute basic ones, too. I get that you want to draw viewers in, but I think people can feel misled with a title like that. Maybe a title like, "33 RDR2 horse controls including ADVANCED actions and TRICKS" or something like that would entice views without seeming misleading? Maybe that is too long of a title, though.

@Carl Frank Great suggestion! I will make a note for a possible future video, but I would need other participating online players to make that video which I haven’t set up yet. As for the word “Advanced” in the horse controls video, I’ve addressed it in prior comments. It “is” a little bit of clickbait involved because KZread is extremely competitive... The most successful KZreadrs always use some sort of clickbait to a “reasonable” degree. AND it’s also what you mentioned, there is just not enough room on the thumbnail and in the title to be so specific. If you want to see more about what I said about using that particular word for this video, you can read some previous comments. My videos will have a small element of clickbait because it’s certainly necessary as long as it’s not being “abused”. The clickbait that most people are use to is when the thumbnail was not what the viewer was looking for and those channels pay the price for that abuse. 😉👍🏼

Thank you, I find it helpful for people who have only started the game as well since I think there are mostly videos for advanced players, not beginners. But for constructive criticism, the gaits/speeds in order are Walk, Trot, Canter, Gallop. Then you could say slow trot, medium trot, fast trot, slow canter, medium canter, fast canter, and then slow gallop, medium gallop and fast gallop. I feel as though theres only two speeds for gallop, so maybe gallop, then fast/full speed gallop. Your wording is completely applicable, and my wording is the proper wording for horses.

    The slow gallop is just a canter, gallop is a 4 step pace, while canter is 3. With gallop watch foot hits the ground at a different time, while in canter depending on the lead, one for leg and the ajecent rear will move in time, while the other two legs are independent. Examples: Canter: 1 : 0 0 : 0 0 : 2 2 : 0 0 : 0 0 : 3 Gallop : 1 : 0 0 : 0 0 : 2 0 : 0 0 : 0 3 : 0 0 : 0 0 : 4
