The much newer SIDE-END OPENING SEE-THRU, CLEAR VIEW SHOEBOX design is wholeheartedly BY FAR AN EXTREMELY BETTER IDEA THAN PAST SHOEBOXES! My mom is a hoarder she only wears 10 different pairs of shoes. My dad my sister and I only have about 5-10 pairs each yet we have 4 large shoe storage things, 6 small shoe storage stuff and with all of these filled. We still have about 20 pairs of shoes scattered on the floor totaling well over 100. She only wears about 10 pairs of shoes. She needs to see this to help her decide It’s so hard to get her to get rid of shoes without putting up a fight and throwing away one of our stuff which is stuff we actually use. And because we can’t get rid of these shoes, our only option to making our house decent, is getting like 3 10 feet tall shoe storage. That way we can have something that can match and get rid of these unmatching shoe storage in our house

I didnt like keeping my shoes under the bed, they collected wayy too much dust and it was a pain taking them all out everytime i had to sweep or mop. I really liked those benches with also space for boots!!!

The shoe tray idea is interesting for me. I'd rather have something I slide under the bed. I could see the cardboard box if I lay them down. Maybe the sho bags or baskets could be an option

Some of these are pretty wacky but I did buy a shoe ottoman after watching this video. Did not know such things existed.

Shoes get dirty so the ottoman will contain the filth and smell-shoes need to be aired out and cleaned. I clean the shoe and boot soles inside and out and shine them before putting them away for the season. I use boot trays in the winter, and store work boots, hiking shoes in the basement on shoe racks. I slide winter or summer shoes I am not using for the season, in shoe bags so they dont get dusty after cleaning them and store them in shoe racks in my hall closet. I have used over the door shoe pockets and it works well but it may ruin your door frame or door upon closing so test it out first. The best ideas are the built in wooden shoe shelves, but they are expensive to install. I never keep street shoes in my bedroom, they are downstairs and shoes come off in the house and we wear slippers and socks around the house. Keep a mirror in the hall to check your shoes/boots with your outfit before you leave.

I bought a big wicker basket at the thrift store to store all my summer shoes such as flip flops sandals....

I don't have sooo many shoe. Only 4 pairs. 1 daily use, 1 high heels for casual and formal function, 1 grand design for weddings and receptions and 1 sport shoe. Need to buy a pair of slippers to wear to market, beach and dirty places.

It's nice to live in a warm place. Here in Russia where temperature normally ranges from -30℃ to +30℃ we need to have several pairs for each season

You can also stuff your flip flops inside of boots.

I went to dollar tree and bought those collapsible bins to store my flip flops. They have many colors and styles . I own over 50 pairs of dressy flip flops and in sure it will be way better than storing in the big bag I have then in. I hate for the dirt from my shoes to rub on other shoes. I cant see me putting dirty shoes on walls

Due to the fact that paint must be disposed of properly (in Canada), you can first inquire at your waste management facility or go to your local recycling facility and ask them for empty paint cans.

I have an issue with letting the dirty soles sit on top of the tops of other shoes and that one using stairs? we don't even walk in the house with our outside shoes 🙃

what about men's work boots and ladies tall boots, or boots in general, we're not keeping those kinds of boots outside, most of these ideas aren't practical for a small space

We keep our work boots on wire shoe racks in the basement and garage. We use rubber boot trays in the winter for boots to contain the muck/salt and it works well-it does take up space but you can slide the tray under a hall bench.

The problem with most of these ideas is that it leaves your shoes exposed to a lot of dust which is not what I'm looking for. Also shoes look ugly when you've been wearing them and when they're dirty you don't want to hang them all over the place and it looks nasty.

Omy gosh there are some good ideas but the narrators voice is so annoying that I couldn’t see the video until the end. I agree with comment that we are not 4 years old.

Putting them in boxes makes them smell worse because the sweat doesn't dry out. They need to be where there's air circulation. Odor comes from sweat and skin sloughing off inside the shoe. Taking care of your feet and getting pedicures can eleminate this as well.

Use thin old mismatched socks or stockings and put baking soda and essential oils in it, tie it and put them in your shoes.
