If you know what you're looking for, have enough pictures, and find an honest seller, you can indeed get decent items, just as with AliExpress or eBay (some categories have more legitimate listings than others, of course). It's just that that particular combination of things is much more difficult to achieve than people want it to be, and it's often easier to trade a bit more money for the time, expertise, and risk involved in shopping Wish properly.

I have never bought anything from there. Even simple gadgets have been somewhat trash what my friends have bought ranging from rim center caps to rubik's cube. Aliexpress is the way to go

My dad buys a lot of things from Wish everytime, although rarely anything that's electronic and for the most part, he does get a lot of cheap, but useful things like watches, cords, bolts, and small parts for other stuff. I personally would never get anything from there, considering the fishy circumstances, but if you really bother digging for the right stuff, you may get well hidden and obscure treasures not found anywhere else. All it takes is research and a good look.

The bad thing about most off brand android tv boxes is that they will not receive any os upgrades. They become obsolete relatively quickly.

With something this cheap and under powered... I would only use it for like PS1 and down (it looks like) maybe as a knock off Classic system? Other than that use the only other thing I can think of is door stop.

​@@sasukedarkwolf I think a TV might be a bit over 31 dollars... (Besides I own 3 smart TV's and none of them have the ability to do emulation or come with controllers...) Beyond that I own Nvidia Shield TV and Apple TV 4K and a few other devices. So for me this Wish box would be a door stop.

Got the real deal T95 from Amazon and this thing is FAST! Plays games with 0 problems! Paid 45 bucks for it.

I like Android TV. It's it can be so nice to get away for my computer for the day sit on a couch maybe gamestream or watch all the newest movies and TV shows...

Great video. Install Android 10 and put clock speed back to 1.9 then run test to see what faults.

i got a S905X based TV box, its running Ubuntu 16.04 on it. i had to use one of these for a week as an office machine and it did pretty well.

hey Prime i'm surprised you haven't tried an android radio system. i bought one and just installed launchbox on it. i got an idoing android system from aliexpress and it has a px5 and 4 gb of ram and 32 GB of rom. with wifi and android 8 but they now have the new radios coming out with the new PX6 chips and it looks promising and with android 9, kinda wish i would have waited but i like my system.

I would like to see a tv box that you recommend.

The remote is absolutely terrible it's the same remote that came with the one in this video and it's the worst remote I've ever used on any device which is really saying something lol. The WiFi is terrible and takes 10 minutes to connect after booting the device up and randomly disconnects sometimes. Gaming isn't too bad but doesn't make up for a bad device overall

Can you try adding another OS and/or firmware? I recently added a different firmware from the stock version to a TV Box that didn't let you do pretty much anything and now the thing runs pretty well except for the wifi.

Just when I got interested in this model, and was wondering what it's worth? Thanks ETA!

i dont think ive seen you do a review on it but walmart does have a android tv box in most stores, it replaced the old mi box they carried. seen it didnt look much into it personally.

If you're testing more such Android boxes, could you please include Gamestreaming via Steam Link App an if possible PS4 Remote Play, would be great

I wonder what the margins are on these kind of things, they must be tiny. Overall like most things on Wish, I guess you get what you pay for...

I'm a big Pi fan but I would like much more to see an Odroid XU5 come out soon. Just a dream. But while I am dreaming it would have the same XU4 form factor and IOs. It would fit the same cases and be available with at least 4GB RAM. No, I'm not on drugs. I promise.

For the same sort of money there are boxes based on the AM Logic s905x3 and they seem to perform very well.

Ouch! So what could you recommend ? After seeing how deep you dive ill trust your opinion. I was just about to spend the $49 for it on Amazon too.

Wish Pops up Android Box** ETA Prime :- ohh! So You choosen Benchmark

I recently bought a Transpeed Amlogic S905x3 (labeled as an X3 Plus). So far, it isn't so bad for what I need it for. I tested PPSSPP on it and it seems to handle it around x2 PSP. What I really hate about it is the launcher. I downloaded ADW and Nova launcher and I can use either, but I lose the ability to get into my settings. The settings app doesn't show up in either the app drawer, the notifications bar, or the main page. Any ideas?

If I remember correctly the PlayStation Classic price was around $25 USD, This has android capability (Shame it is the TV Version though~) I wonder if it can run & boot Emuelec SD card!

Not entirely surprised, the name "Wish" lets you know not to expect much lol. I'm on the hunt for an android 10 box that will run Geforce Now and Playstation Now on the same box. No luck yet as android 10 doesn't seem to be that widely available .

From what I've seen and heard, there is basically nothing worth getting on Wish that you won't find a better deal or better product in sites like Aliexpress... not sure if true but I never had anything to complain with the stuff I bought on Aliexpress so far. Wish I heard about false advertising, clothing made of crap materials or in sizes that do not match what was advertised, eggregiously fake stuff (like those fake graphics cards LTT put out recently), and products lacking all sorts of stuff that was supposed to be included with the purchase. Not sure why people buy stuff from there.

I bought a bunch of fake copyright infringing stickers that never showed up for around $3. I didn’t even say anything to Wish and they refunded my money because the tracking number said lost. 7 months later they showed up in my mailbox...so I scammed Wish?

What about the ones on Amazon same boxes just priced more or are they still the same since this video is from a year ago.

You might try doing a video on how ubuntu users can integrate Android to use on a decent spec'd system. I tried it on my Asus Transformer mini tab and it's not unusable for the Android part. But is a little laggy. Google up Anbox.

Start a thread on XDA for this device and watch the team go to work stripping out the garbage and build a new rom for it.

The first thing I noticed is you only got 32GB of internal storage, instead of the 64GB that was listed.

A lot of these cheap overseas tv boxes are actually running a (usually-unlicensed) Android tablet version of the OS - so you'd not have access to certain features from Netflix, like you pointed out. That's the big reason to get Android TV over the tablet version. But man is box not great.

Do you see any cheaper ones on Amazon that you can review? Looking for something to play dreamcast games.

Viewport frame.. is not exactly the video resolution what do you see, its different,. It's more like size of text, app, and other items but not video resolutions. You can change it anyway by holding control + mouse scrow, at least on windows

KZread blocks some high resolutions by the same "certifications" type requirements as Netflix.

there`s some models with the s905x3 chip around that price that would be a much better buy

Not great but is it the best $30-35 or less android box that you can buy? (Don't include the Raspberry Pi because it's not plug & play)

Chose Amlogic s905x3 over that because it has its own Cortex-M4 and AVE-10 Neural Network Accelerator and dual channel memory speed. Also it is Cortex-A55 so that's basically a bigger brain.

This review is misleading, it all depends on what you want from the box. I have purchased this device for the sole purpose to play Geforce Now and it works flawlessly. Picture quality is excellent with no latency issue's. Definitely worth the £36.99 I paid on Amazon.

Nvidia shield tv is the best! It supports big android versions for years (shield tv released with android 5 and now it got android 9, will have android 10 as well) second option is mibox s. It is ok to wach something.

If you want a powerful system that can play high end mobile games, then go for Nvidia Shield. If you just want a system that will allow you to watch Netflix, Hulu, and basic gaming, Mibox is the route to go. There are some others but stick with certified Android TV boxes not cheap android mobile boxes that try to act like android TV.
