Have bought a bunch of VEVOR equpiment over the last few years. It has all been better than I expected and always great value.

Thanks for this review. I'm late to the party as usual. I have had a few vevor tools in past few years. That have become indispensable in my forge and workshop. This thumper is my next purchase

@@HomeBrewNetwork With your code VVMH5%OFF, do I also get the $5AU sign up bonus as well & also how much is shipping? Been watching a lot of your older videos as I just got back into beer brewing after a decade off, have a English Bitter bottle fermenting (at about 5.13 - 5.91%, yeah that's a big spread but I was a bit pissy when I took the first Hydrometer reading) I now have a local brew shop's 5L liquid Citra Pale Ale with Peaches & Passionfruit currently fermenting. Being so long I can't find all my documentation of all my beers from the past in storage. I am looking at Ikeggers, because let's face it bottling sucks, and I want to drink pretty much straight away lol, would they be a good way to start or are there better options? Cheers In Advance mate! EDIT - I know this unit isn't for beer, just telling you my situation 🙂

@@dewey-cox Gday mate, I think its only one coupon at a time, so probably better off with the 5% off. ikegger are ok they are very expensive for what they are though. a traditional keg and gas bottle will be better on your wallet. What size are you looking for? What sort of set up? Cheers mate

No need for threadtape. Just use the silicone gaskets supplied with the unit. Also, grab some o clamps for the condenser.. they are leaky boys. The instructions suck. If you use the thumper, make sure you attach the small copper pipe on the intake. The pictures look like they attach it to the condenser. Boiler isnt great on electric cook tops as it is bowed out. It is a juggle balancing the water intake and outake from the condensor... after all that, I am pulling a nice 83% abv off a grain mash from this vevor right now for my mouth sanitiser 😊 Delivery to Sydney was suprisingly 4 days.

Pot stills don't go real high with there ABV, maybe 60%. I would be changing out the brass fittings with stainless steel as well.

do not use the thing with a glass cooktop, the bottom of the boiling pot is convex and will bounce around vigoursly when heated up and boiling.

Not sure mate, mine doesn't dance, sometimes if the bottom is wet it gets a bit noisy, so I try not to spill any. Cheers

Stills are a shocker for it, because you test it and then move things around before you use it so things get out of whack. Usually too hot to go messing around trying to seal and then tighten once you're using it. So I do what they do on the big old stills, just have some flour handy, mix it with water to make a dough and whack a little around the leak. Works perfectly
