He had good reason to be displeased with his generals. Instead of just raining arrows on the Spartans for hours until their shields were so damaged they couldn't block arrows anymore, they decided to send half the army into a meatgrinder.

Does anyone know how the Persians created this guy, or the other chained up deformed giant guy who was with the Immortals? Did they actually breed them to be deformed like that or what? I know that they must have put the blades in his arms obviously, but did they torture these people to make them messed up like that or just found them that way and made them fight?

@@lortea The only historically accurate thing in this movies is that greeks went to war with persians. That pretty much ends it. All the rest was just made up to add drama to the story. A really good story, but not in the slightest historically accurate.

This is movie is supposed to be a campfire story that Dilios (the narrator) tells the others. He describes Persians as soulless monsters, and the movie shows them as monsters, but that doesn't mean they were monsters for real.

From what I can remember, all the monstrous humanoids (except the Immortals foot soldiers) in 300 were designed so as to appear plausible as deformed humans who were repurposed/trained as soldier-beasts. It appears he has knives for arms and hooves but if you look at the actual costume, he has no feet or hands, but bones the continue to grow outward to a point. they're filed away to be useful for walking like hooves on his legs and each of the 1/2 bones that grow out of the skin of his arms have blades affixed to them. It appears this handlers have cut some flesh away from the bones of his arms to expose more bone, though.

Actually Zack Snyder used the design from when he worked on the zombies from Dawn of the Dead. Basically he took one of his zombie sketches and decided to use it in 300.

Sorry about the late response. But this is likely the explanation of the oddness with the movie, but it's based on Helios' story, meaning it's from a unreliable narrator. Helios, the narrator of the movie, is telling an incredibly exaggerated story, which will explain why they are so weird story wise. It's pretty interesting.

I googled what the executioners are made of -Spiked Collars -Sea Lion blubber -Farlowella acus (fish) -Monitor Lizard tails -Boarman (TMNT) -Bondage Masks -Horse Hooves Xeres was a mad doctor king!

This guy would probably kill even Jason Vorghees and Freddy Kreuger.. He would even kill Vega from the street fighter games.. He would, however meet his match against the mask, deadpool, wolverine or hulk. :)

I looked up the Executioner on images, and his design is both terrifying and painful to look at. His arms were chopped off up to the elbow and crudely placed blades, which look like sawed down elephant tusks, are fused into the severed stump. He has no feet, only hoof like feet because his feet were cut off. Chain rings are bolted to his shins and his nipples are pierced with a huge heavy chain weighing them down, causing even more discomfort. All while still freshly bleeding. This guy pretty much suffers from just moving his body and that's what further fuels his anger. Makes sense, but seriously. You have to be wild in your imagination to create something like this.

The general before he was beheaded asked if he can take a Motrin....🤣🤣🤣
