It is great feeling when you decide to fix your own device by yourself. As you said, most people will see all those screws and just give up, but in general it is not so hard. I have disassembled more than 150-200 laptops so far. I successfully performed all kinds of parts replacements, including cleaning and replacement of thermal past and I never came across some issue that I could not fix. Having required tools for the job is most important which is not expensive to have. Also keeping track of every step is very important so that it does not happen that you assemble the unit and you find out that you forgot to attach a webcam flat cable or fan to the motherboard... I'm using old fashion notepad and I create sketches of every stage during the disassembling and later I follow all steps in reverse

From my personal experience with refurbishing a iPhone 7 is how the charger flex cable was designed were right next to the Taptic Engine plugin the flex cable has a very small u-turn making it very easy to tear when pulling the cable up thus disabling the Taptic Engine (unless you are willing to wait for a replacement to arrive in a week in the United States)

How did you manage to get that charging port bracket to glue in to the chassis? Currently restoring my iP8+ and honestly the quality of these chassis is underwhelming.. terrible screw threads, missing brackets pretty much all throughout... Actually was so fun watching this video as I was going through the literal same issues as you where; infinite amounts of screws, super strong battery adhesive, intricate button brackets, extremely annoying hidden screws... Great video, the quality of these has improved so much throughout the last few months!

You shouldn't be because phones like this were specifically engineered to make repairs, should your phone be damaged, very hard and thus makes you shell out money again for a new phone. Horrible practice, to be honest.

Hi buddy.. as always you refurbished this iPhone very well keep it up.👌👌👍 This iphone was very dirty, you removed lot of dirt from it. Still i saw some dirt on the motherboard near those metal shields. Next time just use isopropyl alcohol 99% you will find. This alcohol will not damage your board but will clean it thoroughly. If this dirt and dust remains inside it will again in future create corrosion there.
