Wow amazing job on the tank and the sump system is unreal. Maybe put a gold severum in there also. My dream tank hopefully someday I can something close to this.

Thanks so much! Funny you say that because we are heading to the LFS today to look at some severums etc.

Nice rainbow fish community tank ....scarlets and some turquoise also. There's some beautiful rainbow's setup in Jarvis tank which you can mimic. Did you remove those marine pure blocks from your sump and what are you feeding your discus...heart mix foods?

Thank you! The 750 has been up and running for about 6 or 7 months now, however… we have been in the process of finishing the basement and the walls around the tank. I was hoping to complete the basement and then post a vid when it was all done. Getting close to being finished now but maybe I’ll put out a vid just to get something out.

How many gph are you running through the 25 watt sterilizer? Are you running flow faster to combat algae & bacterial blooms for clarity? Or slower to combat parasites and everyday genereral fish health? Diggin the revamp, hope ya don't mind, I'm rippin off your idea for the aquaponic loop in the new system I'm gettin together currently.

I have no clue quite honestly what the GPH is through the sterilizer. I have never bothered with worrying about flow rates through UV sterilizer‘s, I basically just eye it to a medium flow. I know this doesn’t help much but that has worked for me for years to combat parasites and algae and half pastene water clarity, so it just works for me.

@Jetblink619 gochya, I've been tinkering with a 25 watt in a 230 gallon system and think I've settled in at 130gph for normal operation, I'll speed it up to 300gph for a few days in the event of an algae or bacteria bloom. Thx for the reply, keep up the great work.

You mentioned the constant drip.. Do you know ball park how much water gets changed out a day?

I believe it is currently at roughly 1 gallon per hour. This is what works best for me on this particular tank. At this rate, it automatically does about a 60% water change per week.

I use 1 inch PVC for the plumbing on this set up. Two 500W heaters controlled by an inkbird WiFi controller.
