I've got a 1992 land rover discovery 5 doors with the TDI 200 motor and the same blue interior its a great car it's still my daily driver its great to see people still honouring its legacy

D1 and D3 family here. Only vehicles for us. Thank you Land Rover.

Great memories as a child from my parent's Series II TD5 and 05 Disco 3. Happy days - a Land Rover fan ever since.

I wish LR would have kept the distinctive styling of the Discovery. Disco 5 could be mistaken for a Kia or Honda....total generic styling

I remember when my dad used to have a 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE when I was 10 years old, and because it was the HSE specification it was pretty much loaded to the gills with all the bells and whistles, including but not limited to, tri-zone climate control, heated seats in the front and back which were upholstered in a really nice cream leather, a DVD player (which was actually a third-party Rosen unit) colour sat-nav, rear audio controls, you name it! Plus, its air suspension meant it was a VERY comfortable car to travel in…

Posh but 300tdi is better and cheaper

The Discovery was great from the MK1 up until the MK4. Beautiful, Purposeful and Off-road worthy. The MK5 is just another SUV that looks boring and will be used by Women to drive their children to a football game.

agreed - every bit as capable as the defender that sell for major bucks these days - new they were priced close - I would have gone for a defender but they didn't have a 96 MY and the dealer didn't have any 97's yet (they also didn't have cruise control) but would have been a much better reseller

From first to current gen LR Discovery has its ups & downs but overall It's a great SUV Great video

thanks for the video - I really like my 96 Disco with 4.0 - it is the SD with no leaking sunroof manual seats a/c and auto - aside from the poor fuel mileage I love the drive and use it as my DD

I use a 96 300tdi . Brilliant.30 mpg on diesel

This guy reminds me of Angelo from the 90’s children show Mike and Angelo.

I had one years ago and seem to recollect you had to remove the spare wheel to change the rear windscreen wiper 😳

Just turn off the ignition mid-wipe and you have access. Might take a few tries though.

I would still buy the old with new engine and latest tech

The LR 4 has the Utilitarian look and is distinguished from all the beta looking Crossover SUV's. Hence, why I bought the LR 4.The Defender Looks tough and military too.

Had a 1997 discovery as my first car... I miss my rover. (lowkey shameless plug for my tiny yt channel with a few old rover vids on it)

Land Rover Discovery 5 sales have tanked. They have totally messed up the styling, they have also messed up the new Defender and have left a gaping hole in the market which is going to be filled by the new Ineos Grenadier. Let’s face it the MOD are not going to buy the defender or the farming community.

You've just made my planned Discovery review so much harder by doing this so well... If I was buying one, OK when I buy one, if not an original 3 door Id have to go for a late Series II, the best of the pure design with a bit more bling and a better engine. The current one...meh, maybe if the rear number plate was square the drop would still work and as I hate autos and would never buy one Im a bit alienated

My Disco is always broken. But I love Larry Rover forever. I will sink $1 million in it before I give it up.

This king has taste the hars condition of Kalimantan in Camel Thropy.

Such a shame it's now just a posh Nissan Juke for similar naff-naffs that cant afford a real RR. There is no middle ground market these days for those that just want a product that performs it's purpose well.
