Example from more western people: "Oh I look so bad today, lol (while she looks 100% good, just trying to seek attention)" The music playing in the background basically "russian doomer music" as it can be called today. At the times this music was popular in the "revolutionary spirited" youth, but all young guys and gals were doing - drinking beer, smoking cigarettes and having some kind of alt appearance. Most of music of this musician is nowhere near positive thinking. I assume you can even see it like some kind of russian Joy Division thingy... And you see, this kind of music was popular in the intelligent alt youth. The other alternatives were pop-music-shit, "bandits" music about jails and how life is tought after serving their time, aaaaand western music, which was more positive thinking. All in all, why am I telling all of this. You see, in russia depression is kind of constant state of mind lol. Most positive thinking was influenced by the west. Russians are living hard lifes, embracing it and have somewhat fatalistic mindset. The farther from Moscow - the more "russian" people become :) This artists representation of characters, almost never smiling despite the fact of having PC, art talent, childhood without hunger etc, depicts russia way too well. I hope I helped you at least a little to understand russian mentality and why "30 years wasted". "Uhh guys, 30 years wasted, see how bad I am - *throws top notch animation in the face*" :D

one thing my (almost) 30 years has taught me is that it's not about how many girls you've had over the years it's about do you still have a girl after 30 years; over the course of my life I've had what would be considered a lot of women compared to what's considered "average" but i haven't had a girlfriend since july 2017 and i feel like a fucking loser

All of the people in the comment section talking about how his life was good are so blind. The whole point of this video is that this guy achieved nothing. He spent 30 years doing nothing, studying, getting a diploma, probably has a boring ass job and only spends most of his free time on the computer rather than going outside and actually enjoying life. Believe it or not, spending over 3 hours on a phone, computer, or any kind of technology everyday is bound to not only hurt your eyes but your mental health. How are y'all so blind? The answer is right infront of you. In 30 years he accomplished nothing. He is still stuck sitting infront of his computer, despite having a Girlfriend and a Diploma. He doesn't pay any attention to them.

I’ve been looking for this video for like the last 3 years, I watched it 1 time when I was like 16, and forgot the name. So every now and then I would search “30 years gone animation”or something like that cause I couldn’t remember the title, but just couldn’t get ur video to pop up. Then randomly today I decided to try again, and I swear it was the first vid to pop up. For some reason I needed to see this today, so from me and 16 year old me thanks for this, a good memory of mine.

The most critical individual an artist have is themselves. ._. Yes, I know that feel. Many are already telling me to open a patreon but goddamn do I still have a nagging feeling that I dont deserve any shit thrown at the art I make since I dont feel I am good enough. I just need to push a bit more to feel satisfied enough to get any monetary gain to what I create.

Nigga you're 20, I'm 23 and won't be able to study what I want to study until I'm 24 because I'm locked into a contract. I probably won't be in the job that I want until I'm 30, and still I'm not discouraged. By the time you get to my age you could be exactly where you want to be, cheer up.

If you live in the US, there are places where they pay you to move in and live in a place for a while. There are super easy jobs that you can do in europe as berry pickers or kiwi picker in new zealand. Just save some money and develop the skills of investing. Buying cheap lands all over the world and selling them. Or building cheap rental houses and renting them to poor people. You'll have steady passive income while being able to help others.

I don't think he is talking about what he has achieved here, like he may have graduated and gotten skills which average people don't have but he feels as if he wasted 30 years of his life for not doing what he wanted to do. I may only be interpreting this in my own way but there are different interpretations of this. And this is something that I feel as if I can relate to because everyone is always telling you to go to college and become successful but that is the least true, you graduate from college and then what? you go work as a civil servant from 9-5 just to make 100K-500k a year while others are making that amount within a month or two. I am still in college but something in my heart just feels as if I am wasting my time doing something that I may not really want to do. Then in college you have to deal with staff that are too prideful for their own good and they try to make you think that you might not belong to that college even though they quite literally just met you 5 minutes ago. Education is great and all but it is something that can be acquired from books as well, people should explore more of themselves than let society manufacture them.

I even remember my childhood, all these posters on the wall and television: Perestroyka, the fall of the Berlin wall 0:01, The end of the Soviet Union (ballet on all tv channels) 0:02, (I was 6 years old). Santa Barbara TV series 0:05, Super Mario Bros on Dendi console 0:06, dancing Yeltsin 0:07, The X-Files 0:08, Friends TV series 0:09 and a first personal computer (I was 12), the economic crisis in Russia, Yeltsin resigns 0:11, Need for Speed, Hitman, Quake III posters on the wall (2000), first dial-up modem and Internet 0:12 and so on. This is just outstanding. So many details!
