They’re honestly only endangered in the wild due to the fact that Mexico City is on top of their only habitat. They are not hard to find as pets though

@@hollie4069 We studied regeneration inhibition, so we put them to sleep, severed their tails, and observed how much they grew back under different conditions. Severing their tails sounds gruesome but they regenerate so fast that they don’t bleed and the tail nubs heal before they wake up, so it’s not painful to the axolotls

I like the fact the blue axolotl has a 1/1200 chance. 1200 is a special number because it's the amount of axolotls still left in the wild.

Axolotl are adults. They can regenerate lost limbs. But they are not immortal. Tiger Salamanders are aquatic as juvinile and then land living as adults. Axolotls never reach that final morph stage. So they are aquatic their entire lives. They're endangered in the wild due to their habitats being destroyed. However they are THRIVING in captivity.

Coincidentally there is a photoshopped real life axolotl with a blue pigment uploaded to the internet in the early 2000's which made the internet crazy.

Fun fact: if you add the green dye on a Axolotl, it can be green

As a person who loves Mudkip, and has had it as my first starter, I am very glad that Mojang added blue axolotls :)

Frogs deserve to be added along with axolotls.

Omg this was so sad but hilarious, so me and my friend love Axolotls so much that we spawned and army of them in a lake near our house and they were lagging our games. So my friend said “let’s lead them on this post and leave them out to dry”. And I just died at that comment LOL
