I am very enjoying your lessons, but I have a simple note. Please, when mentioning any new word and putting it in an example or sentence, explain what this word means. Thank you very much for your wonderful explanation.

Hi! I've just subscribed to your channel. I haven't finished watching this video yet, but I can say that you explain things so well and your pronunciation (which is British pronunciation and I love it) is so clear that I could listen to you for hours. Your channel is full of material and that's great. From now on I thank you for contributing to us, people who are interested in learning foreign languages (English, in my case). Best wishes.

The preposition to seems to be especially confusing, because sometimes it acts like a normal preposition, and sometimes it introduces an infinitive. A lot of English learners think that because a verb is coming after the to, it must be an infinitive. For example: I'm really looking forward to visit Italy. Here to is a preposition, and after prepositions the gerund (-ing form) is used. So the sentence should be: I'm really looking forward to visiting Italy. Another example is: How did he react to meet his grandson? instead of the correct: How did he react to meeting his grandson? I'm not sure if this is directly relevant to the topic, but feel free to make a video about it, if you want. (Is that a wood-burning stove behind you?)

I know the prepositions for the place on, in and at. However, I recently heard the expressions in a song: "I stand on the street" and "I stand in the street". I have also heard the expressions: under the silver Moon" and " beneath the silver Moon". It would be logical that the street means a wide area and it can be said: "I am standing in the street" but beneath and under silver Moon. What could be grammatically correct? Thanks😊

How I wish I had watched this video many years before! I loved it! I noticed just one slightly important thing to comment on, 3:29 here the suggested action (verb) should remain in its base form. It's not correct to say "I recommend that she uses the lift" but "I recommend that she use the lift". In the negative form, it's better not to use the auxiliary verb do. "I recommend that you don't drink coffee" is not as correct as "I recommend that you not drink coffee" (both in GB and US). It happens to the best of us! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your feedback and I’m glad you found the video useful. However, I disagree with the point you made - it is actually grammatically correct to say ‘I recommend that you don’t (do something)’ and it’s a very common structure used by native speakers. Thanks for watching!
