The jellyfish is actually the second thing I have ever crocheted. I just did it last week. A few mistakes but it was pretty easy for me a complete beginner to do and it is so cute. Thank you for all the ideas and great videos.

My favorite pattern that I've used over and over is the crochet duck by Sweet Softies (she has a KZread tutorial)! It was my first [successful] amigurumi project and I've made well over 20 at this point using all different types of yarn. I've given away so many of them. They make people happy and they're so easy to make so I keep making them 😊

You can make amigurumi with acrylic yarn. If you plan to sell them, there is higher profitability using plush yarn, but use what affordable yarn as a beginner. Just keep in mind the hook and yarn size. I’ve been crocheting for years and still haven’t built up the courage to us plush yarn.
