A close friend passed away unexpectedly three years ago. She was a master knitter and an excellent crocheter. Her husband finally got to her supplies and asked me if I’d like her favorite yarns (hand dyed and some very pricey skeins). I said, “yes” of course. When he brought them he also brought a bag with 31 “14 granny squares. They were absolutely gorgeous and every one of them was different. I am putting it together now. First I spent a month steaming and blocking all the squares, then I put birders on every square. Now I’m sewing them all together and plan to add a fancy border. It is a true labor of love for me. The Afghan is 5 squares by 6 squares and a spare square will be a pillow. Would rather have my friend back, but it’s such a blessing to have such a beautiful project to finish.

I’m making a temperature blanket for my great niece, who will be born in September. Started with the date my niece found out she was pregnant, which was a blessed surprise for her. The last day will be the day she is born.

I just wanted to say thank you for making the video where you rate crochet hooks! Because of that video I tried the Tulip Etimo hooks and I LOVE them so much! Before that I was using a really affordable set from Amazon. I was struggling with my stitches and with speed. I thought it was just me not my hooks. I didn’t realize how much of a difference having a better quality hook can make. But it makes a massive difference! I’ve since bought pretty much all the sizes I can get in that line and I use them every single day. So thank you for recommending them because I probably would have still been struggling with my other not so great hooks. 🖤 and to any beginners out there please think about investing in better quality hooks. It can seriously make all the difference!

I'm currently using the Joann Living pride collection yarn to make a Knot bag! I just ordered my very first hand-dyed yarn and am very, very excited to get that to make a top.

I'm really enjoying stuffing sticks from 3am Grave Designs. They are flat with a wider tip so they don't poke threw my work. They also come with fun sayings and in a 3 pack. Definitely recommend!

What a fun video! I just finished making some fuzzy bees with the Feels like Bliss yarn, it takes the Bees to a whole new level. I love the yarn, for a fuzzy yarn it’s pretty easy to work with. I have the Valari pillow too and it really is a game changer, no more neck and shoulder pain. For crochet hooks my favorite are the Furls metal streamline. I tried one and ended up buying the entire set, it’s pretty much the only hooks I use now. Another accessory I love is my yarn bowl.😍

I'm starting some Christmas gifts! I've made an angel ornament and a new Angel tree topper. I just found your channel and I love it! You've given me ideas for my vlog-cast!

Of course! In the meantime, you’ll fasten your yarn into the stitch shown in the photo and ch 1 to begin working. Hopefully that helps in the meantime but I do plan on making a tutorial too!🩷

I am making an afghan using one strand of Lion Brand Mandala in Meowth and ond strand of Loops & Threads Soft & Shiny in cream held together. I am a brand new crocheter, so I am making it simple. A 2 row repeat. 1 row of double crochet followed by a row of single crochet. I might put a band of another color of Mandala in the center.
