Thanks for the tutorial, I'm struggling with my project with maven actually I'm making a docker container for my maven project but I'm able to build the image, the main problem is with the maven jar file I'm getting no main manifest error ,after getting some work around it still says class not found exception, could you please help

Might be because main class metadata maybe missing. Check on stack overflow, solution is given there

Yes bro, jar or war both can run✌🏻 For example, jenkins.war To setup jenkins we can run. java -jar jenkins.war

Hi Shack, Thanks for this masterpiece. I followed everything up to the point of running the jar file. On the terminal, it is showing that the springboot app is running on port 8080. I tried to access the page but the site can't be reached.

I repeated the entire process on my VM (using Oracle virtualbox) and everything worked. Is there something I did wrogly with the AWS ubuntu setup?

I also have same issue, App is running in EC2 instance but not reachable in public IP. haw did you resolved it?

@@relaxme99 I finally figured out why it wasn't working. You will need to open that port 8080 in your EC2. The reason it wasn't reachable is because that port has not been defined
