How long and wide are controled by the by the state commercial trailers are 98 to 102 wide and eather 27 28 30 45 48 53 and in some states 57 ft long. Non com. are 96 in wide but there are exceptions the rules Depending on the state but the rule of thumb are that for 5th wheel trailers straight trailers like boat trailers no longer than 40ft and 96 to 98in wide. Tow veh and trailer combined gross veh weight rating of no more than 2600lb. And 13ft6in tall but some states do allow longer and wider not over 102in wide and 45ft long and some western states 14ft tall yo see your state get a truckers atles and check with the state police on damentions

Don, I have to give you credit. You don't give up even when you are wrong. You start giving all kinds of specs none of which changes they fact that you said anything over 8 feet wide needed a permit. Drove truck my whole life. Retired now. Just own it and say you made a mistake. Everybody makes mistakes. No big deal.

Yes, and 102" is 8' 6" -- not 8' as in your original post. (8 feet = 96 inches.)

Some roads in many states it is 98in off interstate hwy and again depends on the states. Use to drive a truck for a living

You didn't say 98 inches, and you didn't say "in many states." You said "Anything over 8ft requests oversize permit to trailer in U.S." You were wrong. Get over it.

"no bedding" It's standard practice to bring your own bedding, towels, dishes, etc.
