I think you did pretty good on that submission! I am a little hesitant now to send cards in after my first submission. I sent in 5 cards and I thought for sure I would get 4 out of 5 to be 10's. I sent in a gold Bobby Witt jr. RC /2022 and an Adley RC Gold /2023 which looked perfect to me after detailed inspection and both got 9's and feel the Adley got slightly corner damaged at PSA because that little white nic in the corner wasn't there when I sent it in...The MH2 topps chrome green sonar to /99 got a 10 and the Jackson Chourio Topps chrome fuchsia/199 also got a 10 and the Elly De La Cruz purple paper /199 got a 9 which I kind of figured, but the two Golds got me confused and reluctant. I don't like to inconsistency of graders and hoping to get a good grader, I kind of wish AI did the grading and not rely on the human error.

Overall I’m happy. I do feel like if you do your job inspecting you should get a 9 and hope for a 10. I’ve had a hard time with gold as well, especially paper. The corners and edges on them are tough.

Nice submission. I for sure think volpe has a pretty high ceiling. Will he ever hit it? I am not sure. A lot of guys never hit that ceiling. We shall see. Julio Rodriguez started off super rough last year but came back pretty nice. Gunnar is one of my guys. Nice stuff enjoyed and thanks for sharing with us. Hope you are doing well.

Being a Yankee gives him some initial hype but it will wear off quickly if he doesn’t perform.

Did any of your topps chrome x fractors have any small print lines on them at all? Ive bought quite a few off ebay and all have at least 1 vertical and 1 horizontal and im curious if its just expected on those?

I don’t think so. 4 of the 5 I sent got 10’s and I would think a line would prevent getting a 10. Maybe there was one on the Grissom which was a 9. I don’t think I would have sent it if I would have noticed it.

That Caroll being dinged to a 7 because of the OC is just criminal by PSA

You should speak with Topps bc I'm almost certain they replace cards that will get less than a PSA 8,,it's very easy to send in damaged cards,,email Topps and let them know about your issue ,,you should get a replacement but I'd deff make sure they have the Carroll to replace yours if not you will get a card of equal or greater value which could be a banger

Sorry I never saw your comment,,no I never sent a graded slab,,but I'd email Topps and ask them what you can do
