30+ CAR BARN FIND: 550 Acres in MINNESOTA
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Recently, I loaded up the trucks and trailers with my crew (Kelsey, Sinjin, Alex and Sean) and we road tripped up North to Becker, Minnesota for a Barn Find car collection that I have been chasing for just over 7 years. It ended up taking us just over 10 hours to dig out and load up 7 cars in the trailers, but man was it worth it!
Classics SAVED:
1937 Diamond T Deluxe
1957 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL
1656 Triumph TR3
1963 Austin-Healey BJ7
1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible
Special thanks to Owen and his team at www.motorsota.com/ for putting in the time and sweat equity that made this buy possible.

When i see vids like this, its kinda sad.... somebody's dreams died with them. People often think and plan like they have 3 more lives to live....time runs out for everyone. My grandpa used to say we don't own anything, we're just borrowing it....someday it will be someone elses to care for or ignore...and we'll have no say in the matter. Some cool old cars for sure....lots of life stories tied to each one.

That is soooo true !! Your Grandfather was a very wise man . We need to enjoy the little/ big things while we can and hopefully someone else will enjoy it as much as we did !!

@jskavaloski, YAHWEH EL ELOHIM ultimately owns everything, and your grandfather was right...we cannot take it with us when we die, thus it is wise to not value material things too much in our lives, or else we will value things more than the Creator and those lost souls that we were called to save in our lives.

Just remember, those who dream big and collect large are the reason the next generation has the chance to dream even just a little bit. Otherwise, all of these cars would have been crushed a long, long time ago just like all the rest that used to be around. So go ahead, collect them all - and make sure the next round has that chance to dream. Caretakers are few and far between!!
A real treasure, I'm really glad that these cars have a second chance and are back on the road ... I hope they can show us the final result of their restoration
Love the Imperial at 5:29 and the Volvo at 5:48. Oldsmobile at 7:00 was my family's car in 1954. the 4-door at 7:50! I never heard of Farmall! The Diamond T is a thing of beauty - look at that hood ornament! (22:00) I'm so glad people (@DennisCollins!) take the time - and have the expertise - to rescue and preserve this fantastic automotive history! Please go back for the Imperial!
For guys that never seem to have the money to buy cool cars….we are living through you….thank you for your show!!!

Hey Dennis, That Impala is a 66 not a 67. It isn't an SS obviously but it has the SS caps and SS dash trim! Very Unique. You know a lot more about cars then I'll ever know, but I know my Imps. I live here and am still trying to figure out what a "chigger" is. Ha Ha! And we don't walk in the weeds in rubber boots, unless we are hunting. But hey, they look good on you! Keep up the good work!

A rule of the universe ... ALL Dimond T's MUST be saved. My pop owned a DT winch truck ... always ran in spite of a crack in the block (just add water). Pulled a few cars from the 17 St Canal Bucktown Gap Bridge (New Orleans) and pulled down the remnants of the Club My O My in New Orleans after a fire.
Can't wait to see this barn find 30 plus cars this is gonna be epic !!!!
I grew up in Southern Minnesota repairing ag-equipment on farms and that place is one of hundreds.
I wish I had the funds to just pick one of those vintage relics. Dennis comes in and grabs whatever he can. Love these types of properties that preserved hundreds of these beautiful rides.

Incredible! When I was a kid I always dreamt about the British sports cars.I almost had but tr3 for 750 bucks he sold it to somebody else my friend refused to sell it to me because he said it was a nightmare and it was going to ruin my life. The Austin-Healey to is just amazingand the diamond t truck was just the icing on the cake.I would actually like to start transporting stuff for a living and building something like that diamond tea just to tow trailers would be cool.

Time, money, energy. I'm thankful for these people, without them it would have all gone to a scrap yard and been crushed decades ago along with everything else that is now gone.
Cool finds. I was most excited about the wreckers you passed on the way in. Don't cut the Diamond T frame, find a Holmes w35 wrecker and body to put on it .. way cool
When we were kids we used to ride mini-bikes in the woods of Wisconsin and come back covered in woodticks. We didn't really care. My stepmother would just take them off us and we'd go back out for more. Funny how different life is when you're a kid.
Thank you for saving so many good cars, The Diamond T truck is excellent, so is the Merc, all great finds!

No I'm not impressed at all.thats the kind of business he's in.he knows what to look for and is very thorough at what he does. He's different from Richard Rawlings.Dennis goes for more of these classic and rare cars ,and depending on what it is,will restore it or just clean it up and sell it.its fun to watch him work. Wish I had his money
Dennis, I love watching anything getting unearthed after so long. It's like that old dust covered metal box you find in an attic somewhere and you can't wait to find the treasure within. It would be nice if you either told the price paid for the finds, even if it's just a ballpark price, or how much you sold them for.
I drove one of those convertible Impalas in High School in the early ‘70’s. White with powder blue interior, what a great car!
Great video! Thanks for making it - well done to every involved - and congratulations!

They just have the space. It's a much, much lower population density in the US, despite have 5 times the number of people compared to us in the UK. There's just so many farms and so many buildings. Plus the post war marketing machine just pushed product out relentlessly. People with a bit of land park the old car up and never get round to selling or scrapping them. Some buy a newer model and just keep the old one for spares. Out in the country, people's yards are littered with cars and trucks gently rusting.
@jasonmushersee
4 жыл бұрын
at first i thought this was my xgf place but that farm is down the road. over the years local bi laws come along not more than 3 unregistered vehicles per property so either park inside or haul to salvage and salvage yards came under new environmental laws/insurance liability so they hauled them to scrap. back early 90's vintage muscle cars stacked 3 high at salvage yards. i know of many century farms like this 10 times more cars than this. one farmer i worked for there's banged up 69 chargers parked all over a cow pasture and beat up model t fords on top of rock piles. im restoring a 68 mustang now absolutely cannot find seats for it

Hey Dennis, I own a tow company in the neighboring town from this barn find. Without listing the old guys name, I’ve towed his vehicles home a few times. As a lifetime motorhead I knew just glancing at what he had and visiting with him he had an extensive collection. If you ever end up going back for the Volvo’s hit me up I’d love to help out! From time to time I’ll run across a customer that has a few vehicles they’ll show me they’ve held on to that may have your interest, after watching your videos I have a pretty good idea what you might be interested in. Pretty cool your passion for bringing these old classics back to life. Take care!

Well, better dust than rust. I'm reminded of my friend who stopped by my house back in the 1960s, in an Austin Healey 3000. We were backing down my driveway to go for a spin and when he pushed down hard on the brake pedal, the steering wheel popped off in his hands. I jumped out of the thing without opening the door and told him .....maybe some other time.
