Ha, wasn't that funny?!
Im from oregon and i would never get mad at you! Lol! Those were some fantastic finds! Proof that you dont have to be over 6 feet to find the treasures! 😂 Bear canyons are one of my favorite agates. And those griphea oysters are just so cool. Devils toe nails, is not exactly a pleasant name! But they do look like they could be just that! And the clusters on the death plates you prepared, looked awesome! Great fun and to be able to share the adventure and the gorgeous finds with Rob from Michigan Rocks, and Theo, was so much fun! Thanks Kate, for taking us along!

I have met him and seen his workshop, but I have never been rockhounding with him. I wouldn't be able to keep up with him. I just can't walk for miles like I used to anymore. I just love Montana rocks. The jaspers are so different from what we find. Here in Michigan. I have ordered several packages from you and a couple of others from Montana . Someday, I will make it out there.
Really beautiful finds💕. I really like when u do the hunting with others and show eatchother good places and give advices❤.specially with rob and theo.3 of my favourites in one video💕✌😁

At 10:58 there is a star shaped crinoid stack in that deathplate! You can see it pressed up against one of the gryphaea! This was such a fun day! Really glad you got some beautiful geodes and even more thrilled about that fortification agate! The orange is super uncommon up there so that is one killer specimen!😁 ill be responding to your text shortly! Ive been asleep for 2 days from food poisoning🤦🏻 but we're finally feeling human again😂

My understanding is that the host rock of a geode is basalt and the host rock of a thunderegg is rhyolite. I think Jared from Currently Rockhounding made that distinction.
@KatyDidRocks
Жыл бұрын
This area is not volcanic - but I think the trick with geodes here is that they are hollow. I haven't found any with solid agate in the middle, so I don't think I could call them thundereggs.

No matter where in The Mainland and around the world there are so many Beautiful Rocks. However Montana has said me Gorgeous Rocks. Jared-Currently Roc… Ellesburg Blue, Pink Opal and in his are. Oregon Kyle-Obsidian, Sunstone, Fire Opals and … Montana Sapphires. Question who is best rated for mail order Sapphires? TY
@KatyDidRocks
Жыл бұрын
Hi! I don't know about best rated, but I have purchased sapphire gravel from Gem Mountain, Blaze N Gems, and Montana Gems, and found decent amounts of gems in each. If you are looking for raw sapphires, any one of these gem outlets are well respected.
Hay Katie it's time to put your dog to work digging all the dirt and rocks I she could do you a great service. 😊
