Pleasure seeing the Vuyela Boyz such beautiful kings can u tell me why lions like Buffalo & elephant dung that they play and rub themselves whenever possible

Thanks Christophe for this wonderful update you are the best in this business , i have question why vuyela males don't have individual Names like other coalition because they are very large and strong coalition and deserve individual names too

Thank you very much Hichame! From our perspective as safari guides we’ve always or most of the time called them by their coalition names. To identify them on the spot in such a large, expansive area can be difficult and can take time. For me to engage with guests, radio work, manoeuvring the vehicle and try and id the individual lion remains a heck of a challenge. Maybe il try in the future and keep the focus on the Vuyela boys with individual names🤔 thanks for commenting and enjoying my visual diary of these incredible animals 🙏🏻🦁🇿🇦

There the best atm in Africa.. theres another two i font lnow there names but as far as big courageous smart goes this is one pride that has too be on top

Hi ,love your channel. I was wondering if the river pride has a resident male? Also do the vuyela boys pose a threat to the s8 male or the red road male. Lastly did mohawk join up with his sons. Thanks Suzanne from edmonton.

No threat to s8 or RR males, as of Mohawk is with his sons for now..Chris is Timbavati area so he wouldn't really know..

Thank you so much! Appreciate the comment 🦁👍it seems like the three Northern Vuyela boys are establishing themselves with the river pride for now. The previous pride males and the father of the young princess was the three Nharhu males. The last one is now pride male of the western pride far up North💯👍🦁

Splitting up Even with 3 could be the eventual downfall hope they reign for a long time

The old Sumatra male was looking very fragile in contrast his partner Hercules male is in great shape. I havent heard any latest news regarding him but last sighting showed him very weak. Last sighting was from Johan around Shindzela

So have these separated two and three?

Not that I want this to happen, but I suspect the Vuyela coalition will clash with the Skorro coalition in the future. I hope they avoid engaging one another.

😂 no stress Dena! Easy to lose track out here! One got mauled by the Skorro males about a week ago. We followed the Skorro males tracks from where it happened all the way to the far east trailing a river pride lioness. From there the Skorro boys went back to the Mayanbulas and the River pride lionesses met up with the Vuyelas again. He had quite a cut on his right flank but he will definitely be ok👍🦁

To conceal their own scent when hunting and the hormones in the dung matter according to research energises them almost like cat nip 👍
