I would have been curious to see the frcvency on the AC and the cathodic stain where you keep it (at 0 or towards -). I used to work in research at the welding institute in Romania. I have been working with aluminium welding for 30 years ,but I really like your style of work. Congratulations.

Get some filler wire in there! You should not use autogenous process on aluminium. Having said that, the video is a good explanation of the benefits of pulsing in heat control.

I work with cloos brand machines and I weld a lot on resistance structure. I weld at 350-450 A. Thick profiles. In our automotive field we make good money welding(repairing) semi-trailers.

Честно, не очень понятно почему без присадки. Для данного типа соединения и толщины применил бы ( субъективное мнение) ток 50-70 А, баланс по нулям, или 60/40(40 на отчистку) и присадку 1.2-1.6 мм в диаметре на 2т режиме. И всё красиво бы вышло 😐

Like, like as usual, but I miss your funny voice that is a part of show. About welding aluminium there are obligatory requirements because aluminium cracking property 1. Always root 2. never start welding on edge 3. at the begginning and at the end of weld should make an extra dab or pool filled with material. Beautiful aluminium welding and welding without wire is easy but technological wrong. In real production lern heat control and start welding from middle to edges on both directions with 20 mm overmelting. Teach your students better heat control skills, unless it's a decorative welding instruction for housewifes. For example, make an ekibana from wire
