Brilliant idea ! If thin aluminum sheet TIG welding is tricky, add this set up !

Hello everyone.
TIG welding For beginners, thin aluminum welding is not easy.
There are many causes of such problems.
And there are many ways to solve those problems.
Today, I will introduce a simple way to apply one of them.
Thanks for watching and have a nice week.

Thank you Sir for teaching us so much, especially how all variables work and to which you have to pay attention to. Friendly regards from Holland, Marcel Knippers.
I think it's hilarious when people consider 1/8" aluminium "thin". Try welding an aircraft tank . It's usually 0.050" . I had a guy weld me one in 0.032".
Always great information ,, many thanks.
thank you for the knowledge mr, tomorrow I will just pray that I pass the test ✊🤲
The best tutorial I ever seen!!! Thanks
Awesome technique thank you
Thank you 🙏
EXCELENTE VIDEO¡¡..SALUDOS

Good job sir thankyou
Very very nice
thank bro
The best danke...

Fantastic video thank you very much! Question, what cup size and what is the flow rate in the video? Also are you right or left handed? Thank you!!

with alloy rear swing arm of motorcycle had a kinda big dent.. can we use this method? filler? tack? and sanding down to smooth surface?
I have been struggling with thin aluminum, and this will help! Would it be useful to set lower peak amps and higher duty cycle, to allow more time to insert the rod in the puddle, and for more cooling of the puddle by the melting rod? I use a foot pedal, so I need to learn better how to reduce amps as the aluminum heats up. Thank you for your work to make videos that really help.

Why are you using pulse? If that's your only option, try 33 rule. 33% background 33% time on, 33 pulses per second. Then set it around 1.1 amps per thousandth of an inch.

@@InchFab To improve my heat control skills I made some thin and small aluminum coupons. Heat builds really fast and you have to be good with the pedal or 4T, or the weldment will melt away. I experimented with slow pulses (once/sec) and higher duty cycle (60-70% high current time) to give some time to step forward while building up less heat. Works ok but not a big benefit so far. Thin+small aluminum (nowhere for heat to go) is good, demanding practice!

More experiments have shown me that our welding brother here on KZread has the best solution in this video. Narrower pulses (20-30%) are better to reduce heat input. Wider/longer pulses make it easier to step forward and insert the rod at the right time, but they increase heat input, so the wider pulses are not a good idea.
Qual o modelo da sua maquuina ??

Thanks man. Good video. Why you do not use foot pedal?

Of course, foot pedals are nice too, but they are not sold in South Korea.
This is a general question: How can you weld with such high amps without burning the piece? In your cup walking videos, you move very slowly and carefully but you are constantly adding heat, how do you do this without burning the metal?
💪👍
.018 copper, have fun.

Shit machine with no foot pedal I assuming
