Thanks a lot for the last comment under my Teo Blast Vid (can't find ur comment back). I fixed the issue with the Mix damage, for whatever a reason i included the blast damage twice for mix. now Google Sheet and Doc is updated, thanks for the hint man appreaciate it you saved my ass. So KO and Blast is nearly the same damage

I do have some thoughts about a grinder build though I can't help but feel like grinder ibushi has gone a bit out of date with all of the recent buffs to raw status. It's a bit painful for me to play without the switcher jewel but I am thinking a lucent nargacuga SA grinder(s) with buildup boost might be the way to go for what might be a significant damage difference. Augmenting rampage to at least use anti species. A 4 slot and a 2 slot on the weapon is pretty huge too.

@@AifritGaming I think that using the Switcher Jewel with a Power Phial axe is better than the Anti-Species Jewel. Remember that Phial Switch Boost grants the bonus of the sword mode to the axe mode, meaning that both modes get the Power Phial's +15% raw damage boost, which is obviously better than the Anti-Species' 5%. Also you have to consider that Lucent Narga's SA has about 10 hits of purple and maybe 20 hits of white before hitting blue. Ibushi's has 20 hits of purple and 0 hits of white before reaching blue, so it not only takes longer to reach blue on Lucent Narga's thanks to the extra white, but you get less of a benefit from Grinder (S) since you have fewer hits of purple to work with. Hell, Ibushi's weapons are the only ones that can successfully run Grinder (S) and Bladescale Hone together! Basically, you'd keep your weapon close to blue, and then when you hit blue, you dodge through an attack and get back to purple...conceivably, you could keep the bonus up for almost an entire hunt. Finally, the world record speedruns for Mizutsune, Violet Mizutsune, Astalos and Allmother Narwa all use Grinder Ibushi axes.

Didn't know that. 10 more hits is significant for sure.. though buildup boost is pretty substantial in combination and SA burns sharpness pretty quick. In terms of damage switcher should be only slightly stronger since it only benefits the morph attacks compared to all attacks on anti species. I recall it working out to some 1-2% difference if only using ground combos. The big thing is gauge management on top of being marginally stronger which is harder to measure. That being said, most prominent runners I follow are running switcher. I'm torn on the bladescale hone tech, SA burns sharpness second only to dual blades which makes me really want polish. Master's touch doesn't really work. I suppose if you are wirestep/perfect dodging consistently it seems good theoretically? But with evade builds I find I'm consistently getting opportunity cost considerations in combat when I can counter or wirestep. Where counter seems like the better choice and wirestep being more a desperation maneuver. However then I get less procs I'm invested in like bladescale/status trigger/adrenaline rush. Power prolonger is a consideration with less counters due to wire stepping instead. Currently toying with 1-2 point wind mantle evade builds so this discussion is pretty relevant to what I'm working through. Don't really know what to say on speed runs as it's not really in my element to make a meaningful comment. But my thoughts based on how things math out are that raw focused builds are probably close enough that it's more down to the player and target than the SA.

@@AifritGaming Bladescale does proc Grinder (S), but _only_ if the sharpness goes up by two or more ranks, assuming you have two or more points in Grinder (S). That limits this skill combo to working on Ibushi's and Valstrax's weapons, but the latter's have miles of white to burn through first, so it's not practical. No other weapons jump more than one sharpness rank at once. As for why Ibushi is better than, say, Daora against Astalos is that there is literally only one hitzone that procs Element Exploit on him - his tail tip has 25 to Ice when it's glowing and _not_ severed. Everything else is 10 or 15. But he has plenty of good raw hitzones, and it's hard to beat Ibushi for pure raw when running a Grinder (S) set.

Would the paralysis phials work better with buildup boost 3 just like the exhaust build since it applies with the sword mode better or no?

No unfortunately paralysis phial and poison phial still have the 1/3 chance to apply it’s just exhaust that’s 100%. So it’s actually worse than a element or power phial since we can apply paralyze on both axe and sword.

Mostly slot efficiency. We wouldn’t get enough attack boost. Lacking attack boost 4 decos makes SA builds need attack boost armor. This build leans more into having the full 12s of status trigger and better overall skills and easier to attain without a nice charm or augments. If you think you’d want less status trigger and more Buildup, you might be able to swap the chameleos chest in and put in the anjanath coil. It’s a bit harder to get attack boost back up like this but it’s a fine alternative build I think.

Add slugger and the monsters dont know what to do >

@@snafuR afaik slugger ist a bit of a trap. Sounds cool but staggering becomes almost impossible after 1-2 times

Slugger has no impact on any of these builds. None of them can stun the monster so no use of slugger here.

Was going to leave a like but the likes were at 69, so I didnt think it would be acceptable to change it
