I have a gardening horror story for you. One time I was digging around in the dirt preparing to plant some strawberries when a huge potato bug (aka Jerusalem cricket) popped out and said hi 😱

get not wanting to mow grass....why I don' have any! had a huge perennial garden until last year hen I got Bernese Mountain pups. over the winter they did their own "gardening" . so waiting to see what comes back. will be using a lot of white clover as ground cover to give then a play area.

(Oh no wall of text, again). I love the topic tonight! All I can imagine is encounters with hammerhead worms and neverending foxtails so this ought to be good. 1-Oh no, here we go with the power tripping HOA wannabe, I should have guessed that would come up. Btw, tree law is no joke. Haha, great ending! 2-They handled that perfectly, they did the right thing even though dude had to know who did it. Massive respect to OP! 3- That could have so much worse, OP saved the day. I like your idea about your back yard. My ex's mom had a back yard like that, they sort of semi terraced it with some boulders and stepping stone "stairs" or else you'd slide down it when it was wet. I never saw anyone mow it and he had two brothers, my idea was to say fuxk it and install a slide but you'd come to fast stop by the neighbor's fence unless you made a ramp to launch you into their pool.

Yeah, I gotta horror story for ya. Brown ants. That's it. These particular ones have taken over my whole yard, take up residence in every pot plant I own (and usually kill the plants in the process) burrow under my other inground plants and kill them, and are nigh impossible to get rid of, because of the way they have multiple nests that are all conjoined and stretch over several yards worth of land. Now THEY'RE a REAL horror story!
