As a business owner, you’ll know that hiring new staff can be costly and frustrating. This makes employee retention all the more important. In today’s video, I talk about the one thing that can make staff hiring more successful - and it has to do with effective staff onboarding.
Hiring new staff has great benefits to your business because it means you can train them, and delegate tasks so that they can contribute to your business success. But it can also be extremely costly if you don’t do it right because you may have to do it more than once, especially when your employee retention is bad.
What this means is that outside of putting out a job post, interviewing candidates, and drafting staff contracts, the staff onboarding process needs to be thorough and effective enough to ensure that you introduce your new hires to your business in the right way.
Studies show that an effective staff onboarding system can increase employee retention. As we all know, retaining staff is better and less costly than having to find new staff for your business time and again.
