I'll never forget the interviewer asking Stephen if his students knew how lucky they were to have a UFC fighter as their coach and WonderBoy corrected him and said "No, I'm the lucky one."

Just continue to sit behind your keyboard thinking your important and leaving ignorant comments while Stephen Thompson is out there actually making a difference in people’s lives.

MrGreenwizard AHAHAHAHHAA ur fkn dumb he id a mma fighter every mma fighter has to put their hands low so they have enought time to defend take downs if his hands are up than he wont have time to defend the take down plus this shirt is his merchandise for his gym and in karate their hands are up dont fkn talk if u dont know shit smh

@@YA-vd9zo plus his style and high skill level allow him the comfortability to get away with it..his head movement, footwork are really good...plus his kicks are fast enough to use a hook kick as a jab...he usually keeps them at a kicking distance and makes them chase him, once they get frustrated they over reach and end up like Robert Whitaker...but it is a style thing, alot of karate based fighters have hands low(once they are high level enough) your partially right about td defense but it's also for balance on the in and out tempo of footwork..karate and taekwondo require more distance for techniques.thai styles however are more plotting, flat footed, hands high...for instance look at aldo or Shogun...plus try generating a side kick or hook kick with hands up,good luck😂

@@YA-vd9zowow "Every mma fighter has to put his hands low to defend takedowns"? Very few fighters keep their hands low. The ones that do don't do it because of takedowns. You shouldn't comment if you don't know shit. Smh . You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
@MrRazmut

@@chadhumphries1445 Fighters do sometimes keep their hands lower than normal to avoid takedowns but that is usually accompanied by a wide, low stance. If you feel you got the guys number and see his strikes from a mile away but you´re struggling to stuff his takedowns it makes sense to lower your guard especially if you feel your arms or shoulders getting tired and pumped from the grappling.

Let's go Wonderboy! keep up the informative content. I've been implementing these techniques in my gym! thank you!
Man of many talents, big fan, love the channel. Thanks so much guys 👊.

Thank you so much Mr. Wonderboy

Brilliant, great attitude and energy.
This guy! I've never seen anyone this humble. Keep doing what you're doing.
the last six months I have been strength training my shoulders and it has increased my punching endurance to a whole new level
I only came across Wonderboy's channel today - by accident - but I've already watched three of his videos. Me and my daughter love his cage name...definitely the best and he's such an unassuming chap that you wouldn't think he could stop you instantly in your tracks, but if he DID hit you then you get the feeling he'd be polite about it.
Brilliant form. Thank you. 🙏🏾
Ill be watching your fight to check out the techniques youve been teaching. Love this channel. Great man
Great videos, motivating me to start training again after recovering from an injury. Good luck in your upcoming fight wonderboy 💪🏽
Cool video. Very helpful. Thank you.

I love Wonderboy. One of my dream match up is a kickboxing fight between him and Cedric Doumbe.
Will always be one of my favorite fighters. Honestly Stephen videos have inspired me to train again I’ll never make it but I’ve always had a dream to be in the ufc. But Stephen is a legendary fighter!

WB you a beast, had to slow down the video just to take in everything. Love the content!
Thanks for the tips @wonderboy
Thanks coach
Wonderboy you da man!
Thanks Steve. Always refreshed by your attitude. My favorite tool for focus and speed is the old small bag of rice hanging on a string trick. Once it starts swinging it really forces anticipation and quickness. I use a old sock so small about fist size. Used to add BBs to toughen up the knuckles. I'd close my eyes then open them very much like the hat trick. This was years before the Star Wars trainer. Feel the force.
What a classy guy! Legend in the making!
You are the best wonderboy thompson.
You’re a really good teacher just as much as a fighter bro💯 str8 legend
Awesome tips, I'll bring this back to the dojang for sure!

Been watching wonderboy since IFL days, he was knocking dudes out left and right just crazy. He's gunna be wearing that belt soon!
Stephen.. My favorite fighter.. you're too charismatic and smart for this fight game!! Please stay healthy!!!
Thank you for clarifying on the weighted punching. When I was in high school I used 10 and 15 lb dumbbells, which was super effective for my muscles and speed, but definitely messed up my wrist haha. Luckily I stopped before I damaged the ligaments too badly lol
Great stuff.
Excellent,,,,thank U...
Let's go, wonderboy. from South Korea.

Thanks wonderboy god bless you with the a power of grayscull bro.. so no can match ya...thanks a lot for sharing.

Wonderboy the coolest mma fighter on the planet, Can't wait till Nov
Great content! Thanks for sharing these Stephen. I will definitely incorporate them into my training.
I followed you from kickboxing to the UFC! You definitely defeated Woodley and yes he dropped Wonderboy with a massive shot but knockdowns don't win fights. Especially in MMA. I want a wonderboy hard hat! That's amazing!

Knockdowns do win fights because it makes the round a 10-8 instead of a 10-9. So in a close fight that knockdown can be the deciding factor.

Man I love you fighting style. I trained in taekwondo growing up and recently started Muay Thai little over a year ago. My coach “shout out to shaun” he trained with muhsin corbbrey and he’s working with me of keeping that great balance of taekwondo but the brutal force of Muay Thai. It’s a difficult process but I watch your tape and try to get the best from you and incorporate it into my style too. Anyhow, I’m in fight camp as well so I hope you win you’re and I hope I win mine!!
can't wait to see that hand speed in action nov 2nd! 🥊
