3 Things About Any Parrot 🦜 Cage -

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

With all cages, there are 3 things to keep in mind to make sure your cage is well-suited to your parrot 🦜
1- bar spacing, which needs to be appropriate for your parrot
2- make sure there is enough room so that foods aren’t under water or food bowls
3- wooden frames, parrots eat through these!

I totally understand the bar spacing. What I would like to know though is smaller spacing ok for the larger birds. In other words is it ok to have a larger bird in an ample cage size but with less than 1 inch spacing?

Yes, but those bars tend to be weaker. Larger birds bend and break them, so then the cage doesn’t work for them. Can be dangerous if they bend or break the wires and hurt themselves.

Good video. My goal is to get a large aviary cage. Currently I do have oversized cages for my birds. Only 2 are housed together. Which leaves me with an extra cage. My largest cage is Ivar’s . His cage was put together specifically to meet his needs. I have put toys and pieces of balsa wood on all of the levels to get him to move. I believe a happy bird is an active bird. We also have different areas that can accommodate food cups. He’s finally comfortable enough to use all the different levels. I’ve yet to find a large cage I really like for the budgies. I want both height and width. 🙂

Aviaries are the best! Mine was too- until it wasn’t- LOL Ivar is lucky! Glad to hear he’s going to different levels. My daughter and I dream of a large aviary filled with Budgies!
