3 strand ringbolt hitching
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this tutorial I demonstrate the 3 strand ringbolt hitching.
It can be modified easily by using more strands.
The technique is featured in the ABoK under number 3605.
To start and finish the the hitching you can use this method:
• Finishing wraps- binding

Thank you so much. My son wanted this pattern for his boat steering wheel. Thanks to you I can surprise him
Hi Mark, how do you finish it when you reach the end?
So what video shows how to finish the weave? Or is that secret ?
Fantastic videos Mark........ty............one question though, is there a rule of thumb to follow for how much cord is needed in these wraps and others?..........again thanks for the vids.
The only fault I can find as a novice barely able to tie my shoes is the lack of knowledge as to how to finish the two ends. Exceptional video other wise.

I'm curious as well, crucial for making something durable
Can this be done with a 4 strand???

I don't see why not, with any even number of strands the pattern will be split and stay even and with any odd number it would switch back and forth as you see here.
Fantastic. Which cord did you use (thickness) 👍love the design. We will use it to protect our crashbars of the motorcycle. 🏍️☺️

Hey! The cord used is type 3 paracord or paracord 550- about 3 mm in thickness (sometimes 4).

@@Paracordguild thank you ☺️
Excellent Video. I did this one a little while ago, but have always known it as Cockscombing. Why oh why do I not look at ABoK every time I do something??? Funny how knots have different names depending on region, country or planet :-)

Hey! Glad to see you stop by! Indeed, this happens quite a bit. The solomon bar is a great example also. I also sometimes refer to it as coxombing :). Mark
