Useful tip the one of how different iphone models open up. Thanks!! One tip i have for you is using an ice tray to keep the parts you remove organized. I feel it is useful especially when dealing with small parts.

This works, if and only if the frame and/or body of the iphone is not bent. A bent iphone frame can make it very difficult if not impossible to fit the new screen into.

Question.. few videos plus a online course I tried said about heating the screen up prior to inserting a sharp object to remove the screen? Is this necessary or can you just do it as described in this video? Thanks

Good basic information but missed a lot of important info like programming the screen and also before you close it you need to re apply the adhesive then put the phone together again

That one I don’t think it does, but you can find screen replacements with adhesive or buy the adhesive separately if you want to re waterproof your iPhone

It’s not exactly required, but if you want to make your iPhone waterproof again you’ll have to. You can find replacements with pre applied adhesive, or buy it separately. Although some phones are mostly held in by adhesive, especially older phones. So I would just do some research on the one you want to repair

It would be a lot easier to heat up the screen a bit to melt the adhesive (with proper tools don't just put it over a fire or sum) because that might avoid the chance of trying to remove the adhesive, struggling, and accidentally exerting too much force, damaging something inside. It's happened to me, happened to my friend, just melt the adhesive, makes ur life easier.

I work as a repair tech, and a heating plate at 70 Celsius for 6-7 minutes should do the trick, or a heat gun, on the higher setting around the edges for 1 minute is also fine!

I’ve never replaced a screen before and worried that I’ll screw it up and ruin my phone that I just got! The screen has a crack that goes from one corner down to the opposite corner, but doesn’t effect the functionality of the phone in anyway! Just was thinkinking of repairing it anyway! Thanks for the tutorial because recently some idiot dumbass just misplaced large water bottle and it caused me to trip over and break my phone screen

Normally iPhone 12 and up won’t work with a third party touch screen unless it’s takes the information from the old screen and reprogram it onto the new screen. Apple trying to stop Repair shop from fixing apple Products. It sucks since you own the iPhone already you should be able to pick who and cheaper way to fix it then brining it to Apple Store and have them repair it which will cost double of course.

Nah bro... A bleading display is a dead display. The best you could do was replacing the glass on top of the screen if it was broken, but its quite hard to take it of without ruining the display.

Do you need 3iphones, just to fix one phone?? My brother just told me he needs my old and new phone and my moms old phone just to be able to fix his new phone🤔🤔 seems sketchy to me
