So if you take a look at how goats are used to make the spider silk protein yo can notice that it is liquid until put in an alcohol base. One the alcohol base contacts the silk protein it creates the actual "web". Since the spider silk has a higher tensile strength than steel(keep in mind its proportion is much smaller) you could increase the diameter of the actual silk and get a ropelike structure that can hold human weight. The only issue is getting the chemical reaction to happen quick enough to form into a solid from a liquid.

I think how the web shooter might work is that it uses this reaction, or one similar to this, and braids the thin strands of nylon web in the actual shooter.

The one you're calling sticky they sell stuff like that they call it magic smoke when you put it together and almost makes like a smoky effect when you pull it from your fingers, I don't know if it's the same mixture but I think it's even more thick

that chemical web was really cool and just might work. please keep testing with this mixture and try other solutions.

christian mccauley I've seen him, a few years back I was a Spiderman nerd and I've been trying to watch alot of videos that involves Webb Shooters and came across alot of people

All these people use mixtures of silly string but you guys do it for real so cool

The specific reaction you want kinda exists already, its called DOPE and its the chemical make up of accual spider silk, scientists are currently in the chemical step of the web fluid and they say once it is finished it can stop an airplane mid flight. The shooter its self would probably be the easiest out of all the steps required to make a real web shooter so expect one soon when they are done with the fluid. P.S love your vids and keep it up, you rock✌.

he should mx both substances of "web fluid" and try to find like a side chemical or sum to make it stronger like a fast drying material so it will harden and be able to hold I good amount of wieght

Nickson Bess silicone would make a great strengthener, as long as you contained the web fluid within a 1-2 inch capsule.

mix molding clay and sticky tack tougher and u also get webs really good ones

now i wanna make these and play airsoft. along with the grappling hook? thatd be lit. you should make something that pulls up up the web automatically. very possible!! like the thing on your wrist could pull you up or you could add something on another part of your body

if that stuff at the end is sticky you could make a gun like the one mount ig you cold say like he had with the bbs and get that get them bottles on both side and when you press the trigger air pushes the fluid out from thim they mix and right before it makes that web you shoot it it makes the web in mid air and it will stick to the wall

Make the pellets paintballs so it leave splats like real webs I think that would be cool like if you agree

I think if you could possibly make a system where the 2 fluids are separate but somehow get sucked up through tubes and get mixed together before being shot out of the "webshooter" that could be really cool.

Seems similar to that "smoke from fingertip" gag. Whatever chemicals make that up are safe to touch and make similar "web" structures when stretching your fingers apart. It comes in a small tube and you do the same thing Dave did.

EZ Tube check out the channels brain ion, XYZPRO and a few others that would be in suggested after theirs they have had way more experience with web shooters

I think with the BB cylinder compartment you should take a spring and a circular plate and put them together and then in the bottom of the bb compartment so then it’s constantly pushing the bb’s towards the top because that’s how most airsoft guns work with the clip there is a spring pushing the bb’s up

Try to shoot the citrus acid and then the nylon then mix the 2

Dude should make a shooter for the nylon. a CO2 cartridge that leads to two canisters containing the two chemicals, that leads to a small reaction chamber, and out a thin fine nozzle, see if that gets a good web effect.

if you make the barrel a funnel shape on the end in the acrylic case it might work better, idk

If possible, see if you can take the first little bit of nylon out of the tube, attach it to something that can be launched, and fire it to pull out the rest of the "web" in one quick motion.

You should make a web shooter with the web liquid stuff you guys made to make something stick to like the wall like how Spider-Man does in homecoming with his backpack

Try blowing the two part web solution through two screens to mix them more before exiting a nozzle

that first is nylon right? try a projectile that spins with 3-4 tubes of fluid started at the end like ∆ probably [()()] shooting/griping/puller assembly ultraviolet or something that catalizes the fluid quick llll. starter strings [][][] fluid

Sodium Bisulfate or Sodium Carbonate would work for dissolving it. But you would need a fast ph indicator to figure out which one to use.

blueberry hedgehog if u have the resources u should also try it. Making function web fluid that could work like in the comics and movies would be revolutionary. A thin and elastic substance with that strength would actually better humanity. It could function for a lot of different things

What you should do is have those two bottlesnext to each other and they shoot at the same time and mix in midair

I'm not that smart in this stuff, but is it possible to make little pellets out of those chemicals so that on contact they create a small explosion of web?

Also, aren't police stun guns basically taser webs? they load a cartridge onto their taser and shoot wires. Maybe you could hack that tech into a taser web prototype.

you can also use plain acetone for desolving the styrofoam

you should combine projectile bee bees or liquid filled paint balls and fire them threw the dual nylon composite like 2 cylinders that have 360 angled micro nozzles to coat the ball in it and use the speed of the projectile and the quick expansion of the nylon to flow the string of the web, as long as you coat that bitch good and keep the nozzles going while that projectiles flying you can string that thing. the paint ball thing could be filled with epoxy or spray adhesive so it explodes on impact. im not sure the viscosity of the nylon but i know if you keep it heated in the containeers on the web shooter, then when you fire it have somthing near the end that can super heat it like open flames or tazer arc while its stringing so it hardens, mabye a diluted acid can be added to oxidize it fatser after its fired so it has strength. i have a design

I have an idea...see how if you had a single piece of tissue paper, u can RLLY quite easily break it but you won't be able to if u rolled multiple pieces of tissue up and wrap them together. what if you rolled it up and wrap numerous pieces in a helical structure, that should make it stronger BC of its structure. ik it might be a challenge to actually make that happen but it should work

You will can make web fluid from aceton and polystyrene. you will must melt lots of polystyrene in aceton and after you get some white liquid. You will can from the white liquid and you stretch thin sticky fiber.

Haven't watched the full video but I heard you're doing The nylon 6.6 trick it, will not work for real webs, its cool and all but its not strong enough plus its acidic. I'd suggest washing it under water before you use it. When I took Chemistry in college I remember a kid got himself sent to the doctor for touching it immediately after we made it
