I highly respect the "realistic ending" of the first game. Honestly, when high-quality scary games release, it should always offer you the possibility of turning back to were you came from and get an ending, just for the joke.

In the cases where leaving isn't an option, I'd like to see one where there are weapons lying about you could actually pick up. Personally, if I'm walking through a creepy place I'd prefer having a friggin' stick to swing at least. I've seen so many where there are knives, axes, etc. laying about but the protagonist seems to have forgotten how to pick things up. I know that "being defenseless is scarier" but weapons can give a nice (if inevitably false) sense of security that can be broken, amping up the terror.

That bit where you find the coworker covered in blood has me remembering a meme/story prompt. You’re confronted by a man with a gun who demands your wallet. Reluctantly, you give it to him. He throws it on the ground and shoots it until it lets out a screech. He then looks at you and says, “You're safe now.” I’m thinking of a scary game where there’s that scene of a coworker covered in blood, surrounded by bodies, and he says, “This is awkward…you weren’t supposed to see this.” But the twist is that he’s a Hunter and you’re the only person he found who WASN’T some kind of monster, lol.

@@peachysai605 Well I think its absolutely lovely. As someone who exclusively draws in black and white because I find color difficult, I think you did fabulous with the color selection. For example, the orange shirt fits so well into the whole color scheme, yet it doesn't seem like it should. And the choice of hair color is just perfect choice, you know an artist did good on hair color whenever you don't actually notice the color of the hair, if you understand what I'm trying to say. She look's like she should have pink hair, as if it grows naturally from her head instead of being dyed.

@@coledibiase1777 oh my gosh thank you so much!!! i'm stupidly sensitive to light and color, so i tend to have an oddly good eye when it comes to choosing color palettes, it kinda just comes from the soul yk? the character featured in my pfp is actually a "sona" of mine, they were intended to have peachy pink and orange colors, as well as some light yellow sprinkled in with it. i'm very glad you like it!

I loved Josiah as an antagonist- someone who seems so nondescript and bored that it’s actually kind of shocking and scary when they become a threat. Okay, I am not nearly talented enough to make a horror game... But here's a concept. You wake up to a completely normal life. It's... too normal. But your family and friends begin to... act strangely around you. Uncomfortable with you. Avoiding being around you at all cost except to watch you from behind corners. Everything our gamer instincts tell us is it's them, they are being weird. But the horror game is for everyone else as you do things only a video game character can, the person they knew is gone, replaced by this strange entity that demands them to do a list of things that would only make sense to a video game. Exploring their own house, trying to find laundry, not knowing your own name or insisting you go by another one. It wasn't a horror game, until you played it

I am keeping this idea in my head for when I go professional in making games. Thank you for the inspiration. I would also love to see games by other developers based on this.

I kinda want someone to make a horror game about someone investigating a haunted house but it turns out the protagonist actually wants to die but the ghost knows this and is actually trying to help them with their problems and it goes from this nightmare fuel inducing horror to just being a super wholesome game by the end.

BRO YES. I would so want that!! Such a sweet idea! I do another reply saying that the concept might be a little controversial, which I agree to. As long as the developers handle mental illness with sensitivity, consideration, and knowledge, I think it would be great!!

@@jellobowl1962 i agree, but a story such as this has to be handled quite carefully. Portraying mental illness can go downhill real fast. Surprisingly a easy concept to miss the mark on.

@@jehehehedias5881 Definitely!!! It does have to be handled really really carefully. I never liked seeing mental illness and emotional health problems, especially suicide, being handled irresponsibly. I hate seeing it either being romanticized or dismissed or easily resolved as if it was a small bump that needed a "little pushing" and now they're all better! It could easily go downhill if it's not handled responsibly, but if it is created one day, and someone does handle it well, I would love to see this idea play out!

The third game sacrificed itself so that we could get such a golden moment lol

Finally a horror game with self awareness. Protagonist just leaves.

Mark: *doesn't start the video with a jump-scare* Me: I feel a disturbance in the force

Me: *watching mark on a random daily basis* My cat: *jumps on my lap and watches the video with me* Everytime
