    I don't know if this is considered a 'budget' guitar, but my favorite nylon is my Ibanez AEG10NE. I have it strung with Bella fluorocarbon strings and it sounds like heaven with strings. I picked it out over several other much more expensive guitars because of the sound and the fact that it plays like hot butter. It has the closer Flamenco/Fusion string spacing, perfect for my fingerstyle Easy Listening, Pop and Jazz stuff. It even works on Willie Nelson's material. Just my opinion...

    Played steel strings and electrics for many years but just bought the C40 for my first clasical and I'm really enjoying it. It's inspiring new styles and sounds that are a nice change from what I'm used to. Wish I would've bought one sooner.

    The C-40 has my vote for the best budget nylon, although I put Bella Red strings on mine and play a lot of Pop and Easy Listening on it. It is a fantastic nylon even if it were 4 times the price. I'm a pro guitarist and I play my C-40 onstage all the time.

    I like the thinline nylon string acoustics. I know Ibanez, Breedlove, Cordoba and Yamaha make these. Built like a standard steel string acoustic, with nylon strings essentially. I'd pay anywhere from $180 to $500 at most.

    I love this video, I have the electro version of the C40 (Cx40), absolutely love it. However I have another nylon string guitar which is a very cheap one "Classic Special Edition" I've seen that they go for about 50$ used. That guitar has an amazing sound, I love the clarity and the sweetness of it, just with some daddario pro arte or la bella strings I think it would be worth having.

    yamaha c40 vs c330a ?

  • @johnlay3040
    @johnlay30407 ай бұрын

    It's an advantage to have an advanced factory like Yamaha to be able to produce high quality but cheap guitars. You can see in Indonesia alone, the number of people who can play classical guitar well are staggering. Just sixty years ago, in Indonesia, there was hardly anyone who knew what classical guitar was. But now, it is the producer of the well-known C40.

  • @johnlay3040
    @johnlay3040 Жыл бұрын

    Yes. I agree. I definitely recommend this guitar. This C40/2 is the one with Meranti back and side, instead of mahogany. This is an amazing guitar; every note is very clear and ringing. It is not loud, but good intonation and sustain throughout. It is easy to tune. A good tone production for a laminated top. I have had this guitar for almost 2 years now and the neck is still very straight as when it was new. I think the nato wood is a lot better than Spanish cedar. I had a Spanish guitar which costed me over $2k, with unreinforced cedar neck, it became warped in just 8 months.

    Can I use steel string.

  • @JoelBrothers

    @JoelBrothers

    3 жыл бұрын

    Absolutely not! There is no truss rod and the neck is designed to use Normal Tension nylon strings. The higher tension of steel strings will destroy the neck and ruin the guitar. Besides, why would you want to? If you want a travel-size steel string, Yamaha makes the FG Jr 3/4 sized guitar that sounds every bit as good as the $500.00+ Martin LX Series. They run less than $200.00. And if you want the ultimate travel steel string, the Yamaha APX T-2 is as good as it gets. It even has built-in electronics and plugged in, it sounds like a full-sized APX, the #1 selling acoustic in the world. They run less than $200.00, with a gig bag, at Guitar Center.
