Suzuki thinks Indian youth 'A Fool'. But they loose a golden oppurtunity to rule the most demanding and growing segment of Indian Bike Market. They introduce VStrom SX at a time when almost other Manufacturer had their so called adventure bikes on market. They have all the data market survey report and all. They knew what Indian youth wants. But they ignore the centiment of Indian youth and give us a old bike with a new look. Nothing change much except the look. Even they did not tune the engine. What need to be done: 1. Work on Engine - may be need to adjust the tuning. If they build a new 250cc engine that would be awesome, buth they did not. 2. New front suspension with longer travel. 3. New frame need to be implamented. #suzuki #vstromsx #suzukitwowheeler #suzukiindia #250cc

That's what he said in the end.
One minor bug fix regarding the app, if you have battery saving mode on phone disable it. It will work well with navigation. However, it is no google maps, not enough places are tagged. So you have to search for a nearby landmark rather than the exact place you are going to. The App is still clunky though 😂😅 If Suzuki can hire me and let me hire a team, I can build a really good app! 😊

I used the Bluetooth feature for only like 5 days after buying a avenis. And it is a gimmick more than anything. You have to learn all the navigation signal on the manual which is truly not worth it. Also the phone heats up a lot after using the app.

I was to buy the vstrom 250 In Oct 2022. But owing to it sharing the same suspension with the gixxer and also the same suspension travel I didn't find it worth. I bought the xpulse rally edition. Really happy with the bike and hero sc at mumbai, Mahim. I was planning to replace my dominar 400 due to a knee injury and a more committed riding position. Went to the suzuki showroom a hour ago. Prices for the vstrom 250 have dropped to 2.35 on road mumbai. So now compared to 2022...it seemed a better proposition . In 2022 it was 2.70 roughly.

@@kristrails07 If you are not going to do offroad everyday go for vstrom. It can handle offroad, you will appreciate this bike quite a lot considering a lot of other factors. Some of them you will only understand by owning it. Our views and observations can be manipulated by looking at what majority of people thinks. Consider Vstrom, its a beautiful machine even for 2.70 lakh onroad.
I still like the bike.. I will buy this year!
I owned a Himalayan and a Duke Adventure before owning it for more than 1.5 years. These bikes are challenging for city driving and struggle to handle heavy traffic. The initial pickup is poor, making them less enjoyable to ride. In contrast, the Suzuki V-Strom has multiple personalities; whether you want to race, cover long distances, or navigate corners, its initial power delivery surpasses anything in the 2.5L segment.
Came from a tvs wego that I drove for 10 years, saw the video of why you would want to buy it, and honestly, i agree with all the points made, I have this bike and I love it, it does what I wanted, a sporty feeling, but an upright sitting posture, good fuel economy and refinement, and such linear power delivery, which may not excite you, but sure is comfortable

How's the tractibility in traffic ?
The Gixxer platform in itself is very outdate now. While competition offers USD, Slipper clutch, traction control, led indicators etc, these things are now standard in this price segment.

You're right, Suzuki could do more. But we should also stop for a moment and remember that we're not in the metal market buying bits. They _must_ do something and add to your riding experience. Brochure racing isn't so much fun when you've to start paying for all the bits that you bought for coolness and now realise don't change any part of the experience

@@harishsrinivasan5249 These things matter maybe 2-3 decades ago. Nowadays every Indian manufacturer has a technological partnership with some international brand. All of the modern bikes are relatively reliable, there isn't much difference on the contrary brands like Suzuki are infamous for poor after sales service and expensive spares which will give you an actual headache.

One more important issue rather important than the screen real estate usage is service support and parts availability. Very bad, limited technicians who work on 250 platform usually 1 per center in big dealership and regular wear and tear parts like clutch cable, sprocket rubbers not available . .

Oh yes. Double the horsepower is Shumi's rule for upgrades.
A couple of questions coming from a classic 350 2019 bs4 model owner...does this bike produce ample power for me to shift to 250cc from 350cc? I know it's a absurd question. But the classic makes only 19.1 bhp and weighs 30 kg appx. more than the sx 250. Also, what about its leaning specs? Does the stiffer suspension give confidence while leaning in curvy roads?
Also even if you have budget , next big thing could be riding height (when coming for traffic stops) . overall its good and little pricy for many .

Yes we see how that might feel like the case. That's because the Indian classification of what is an off-roader is at a very early stage... the government still has no rules, for example, to officially certify off-roaders for sale _at all_ today. The four machines you mention? They're not on sale in India. The Kawasaki is... but the offer from K is "take it, ride it. It won't be possible to register or insure the KLXs and you may not _ever_ ride on the road" Where are you from?

@@motorinc yes sir, i'm from Indonesia, in our clasification, an off road bike should be use a MT tyre, usually 21" in front and 18" on rear and have long stroke suspension and they have a small size fuel tank below 10 lt

which is altrnet for this bike
I got it for 2.2L last month. I feel its a very good bike that balances city & highway tours very good. In city traffic max 3rd gear is more then sufficient as it reaches 60+ kmph. Low end power delivery also very good. We can go around 20kmph in 3rd gear very smoothly. Currently getting 32 kmpl mileage. Expecting it to reach to 38-40 in couple of weeks.

Hey! Looks we think you should decide for yourself. Assuming you want to keep it for a while (so it must have power now and more ability for you to explore with time as your skills and ambitions grow) and will ride mostly in the city with some weekend rides... The equals do not mean they're the same. It means an adv (sx) and a sportsbike (RR) will give you a similar experience of living with it SX250 = RR310 > RC200 = Meteor 350 > R15 _DO NOT DECIDE WITHOUT TAKING TEST RIDES FOR YOURSELF_. Confused between v strom and ktm adv, currently ride classic 350 bs6 and not liking the vibrations, I read there are no vibrations on v strom but I feel like upgrading to 390 adv x instead of just switching bikes with v strom. But the feedback back that ktm vibrates a lot is putting me off. Any thoughts and suggestions are much appreciated 😊

I would ask you to wait for 2025 KTM ADV 390. Ideally, the wait time could be 1-1.5 yr for a comprehensive understanding. Because that will probably beat everything out the park.

@@VikashKumar-ge3ou yes, that is a bummer indeed. We can hope for tubeless as an add on or something. Personally, I own the Vstrom. It’s going to be 10 months, and I now think that I could’ve bought the ADV 390 X, it was a lakh more and viby but the I haven’t been able to forget the manic power it had. Not to say I’m not satisfied, but from an Apache, that would’ve been a real Upgrade. Buying the Vstrom feels like a switch. However, if the vibes are really bothering you. Take test rides and a lot of it. You can never understand anything in 10-15 mins. So make sure and good luck. Would happily reply to any queries you have.

We don't recommend the Honda 350s at all anyway (we don't like the noise, the engine or the gearing and it doesn't feel representative of what Honda is). So V-strom. More information on the Strom is at bit.ly/suzukivstromsxfaq
Now they are giving discounts and final price around 235k in andhra Pradesh and Telangana so we can remove first point

Shumi used to say he isn't fan of half way house and here Suzuki built just that, the bike isn't really good at something. For road touring there enfields, cb350 etc. And for off road xpulse 200, himalyan, ktm.

He still isn't but the V-Strom isn't a halfway house. It's the best 250cc tourer there is and Shumi has issues more with its subtlety than anything else.

I'd say this is more of an adventure bike, so will be more suited to the road and gravel road riding. If you want a proper off-road bike then get an Enduro bike. Different horses for different courses 😊

For off-roading, currently we have the Hero XPulse, RE Himalayan (411 and 452). But the 452 Himalayan is a lot better on the road too than the 411. Take test rides of all and ping us back if you have any questions.
If you are capable as rider The Bike Always Goes Off Road 😅 , All i have been doing it with My Apache and Can Every Bike Goes Off Road As long as you Know What You are Doing 😜

We didn't condemn the bike... ride it where you like. Our job is to clearly set expectations. The VSX is not an off-roader despite how it looks. And you can take any bike and ride it _anywhere_ if you choose to. That always comes with a set of challenges and opportunities for you to overcome and exploit.
V Strom or Hness?

Both the bikes are completely different in character .. Highness 350's gearing is quite tall to such an extent that you can't use the 5th cog below 70 Kmph and this is quite annoying even on a highway.You always have to be in the 3rd gear while riding in the city traffic and this boring as well.. Apart from gearing everything is fine with CB350 highness.

If you are 5'10' inch or above, Suzuki VStrom SX is very comfortable. Bike is light and pulls effortlessly either in the city or on a Highway ..Suzuki's 250 engine is a beauty with superb 6 speed gear transmission..

this bike right now in showrooms are selling at 2.15 lakh to 2.5lakh. if you get behind the sales person they will reduce the bike price!!

Yes, you absolutely should @madmaxhan. That's why we always recommend taking a test ride irrespective of what we have to say. We will still keep sharing what we feel about every vehicle that we cover as it's our opinion. 🙂
It's just the shape of the body, just the looks that is of an adventure motorcycle. Functionality, suspensions, engine performance, handling, even the tyres, nothing qualifies as an adventure or offroad motorcycle, nothing is set up for the purpose in this bike. It's a name sake adventure motorcycle that cost a lot more than what it should, lot more than the the other bikes in the same segment. Such a useless motorcycle that becomes very popular. Very overrated motorcycle that people still continue to buy for the name.
No 4 reason looks ugly seating on the motorcycle not in the motorcycle

It never said it was going to be a hectic off road bike and doesn’t try to be. So don’t see the point of mentioning that. Also, expensive? Um. What?

Suzuki bike didnt need slipper clutch.... its already smooth. suzuki design is always simple and robust, allowing to take harsh riding lol.

@@skarhabekgreyrukh8601 I own the 1st gen gixxar 155 and its the worst purchase ever. Tons of issues. Oil leaks from bore, rusting, bad service, jerky gearbox and many more. Suzuki need to improve its quality and bring in new features
