3 REASONS TO BUY A HYUNDAI TIBURON

Now I understand what a lot of you are thinking. "It's just a Tiburon, what's the big deal?" Well, the goal was to create a fun summer car that wasn't going to break the bank. With car prices nowadays, that's damn near impossible I think we can all agree. But the Tiburon is different, it's unique. You don't see many of them around and when you do, they are usually clapped out rust buckets because people abuse them! I love the look of this car. The lines and shape remind me of a sports car that just screams early 2000's. I don't care that it only has 175 horses from the factory, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's definitely not a car that enthusiasts are raving to get their hands on...but I didn't buy this car for that reason. I bought it to have fun, and fun is what we're gonna have!
Thanks for watching, let me know what you think of the Tiburon in the comments down below!

My wife bought her red Tiburon new in 2001. People ask her all the time, 'what is that car?'. They like it, especially in red. 195,000 miles on it, no real problems. She loves it!

Hi, i'am glad that somebody is spreading the word of Tiburon around youtube. Lot of people prefer the four cylinder because it's much more boost friendly. It has engine block from cast iron that can withstand bigger PSI on stock internals and more beating, the V6 has aluminium block that is still great but cannot achieve the strenght of the iron block.

It would have bad a future had it made it into Fast and Furious 2 . That said it's a beautiful car simple to work on and unique in it's own right , it has a very interesting heritage and comes from inspiration taken from Ferrari. Honestly if Hyundai revived it on the new N-line platform this would be a amazing machine.

I daily a supercharged 05 with the 2.7 and the 6 speed, it's a ridiculously fun little thing. I'm in canada so our top-specs had the Tuscani emblems and center-caps, and I get asked what car it is all the time. I originally picked it up for pretty cheap with the intent of driving it till i got a "real car" but it just grew on me too damn much- The tiburon really flipped my notions of the car scene on its head, and I really don't think I'd be as open-minded a person I am now had I not picked it up.

Got mine with 180k miles on it about 18 months ago for $2500 as a build project. Some body welding was required due to rust spots in the fenders and rockers, the engine needed new cam guides, gaskets and a full set of belts, tensioners and rollers. Other than the rollers and destroyed cam chain guides some slightly seepy gaskets and some minor wear on the cam lobes, the engine was damn close to pristine inside. Replaced engine mounts, fuel pressure regulator and evap solenoid, replaced fuel injectors, installed new exhaust and intake, upgraded electrics, upgraded suspension, upgraded audio, replaced shifter, linkage and bushings, new clutch slave and hydraulic lines (and removed clutch restrictor), got new clutch and solid flywheel, got rid of radio antenna and rear windshield wiper, replaced '04 bumper and headlights with '06 variants.. Car runs and sounds great now, though it's still in the shop for some (for now) finishing touches. :) Even though I've put less than 2000 miles on it, I've gotten what I wanted: garage time, with a car that's quite easy to work on... and by the time this boy is all cleaned up, braced and wrapped it'll be a really nice car for night riding and road trips. The seats are super comfortable and the clutch feel is the best I've tried thus far - low resistance, completely linear, and yet you can *feel* the surface of the clutch disc. Even with the old and worn suspension it was really nimble around corners and mountain roads, and it's likely to be a lot better once it's done. Thus far the most expensive single purchase for the car are going to be wheels, likely to exceed the purchase price of the car itself. It's still running on the 17" premium stock wheels, which at 215 width are still a bit too narrow for my taste.

@@JohnnyTyrone77 almost, yes :) obviously it's still got some old original parts - transmission, suspension bushings, wheel bearings, crankshaft bearings, brake lines.. any one of those could give way, but the manufacturer's estimated drivetrain lifespan is over 300 000 miles, and for the moment the car works just fine, so I suspect I'll get at least a few years of fun out of it. :) Ooh, yeah, and I've got all the parts to make it run on E85 instead of regular gasoline, just haven't slapped them in yet. That's gonna add a bit more to play with and possibly save me a buck on fuel. As long as I have the Tiburon I'm not going to need to buy a "modern" car with 30+ computers and a constant Internet connection to the manufacturer. The Tiburon with its two dumb-as-bricks computers, separate electrical systems and engine with almost no emissions control mechanisms represents freedom in a way no car from the last five years can.
