Ever since I deconstructed from Christianity, I have loved the metaphor of religion being a window frame and god being the sky. As you adhere to it, the view from the frame becomes what you think is the whole sky. It becomes whole reality to you. The sky is limitless but you cannot possibly take in the whole sky so long as you are looking at it through an imposed frame. The frame given to us by evangelical Christianity is incredibly limited and partial and probably the most limiting way one could ever "follow" Jesus. That is my two cents

Well.... One of the reasons people misrepresent God / are confused about God is the horrible translation errors in our bibles made by clerks of "a certain denomination". They had no clue about God's intend, so made it fit their conviction. Luckely the original line is clearly visible. 1: God created us after His own image and likeness. Gen 1:27. 2: Man fell. That is what you see in this world: lust, greed, selfishness, strange philosophies, sicknesses, corruption, terrorism, death, etc, etc. Genesis 3. 3: God, the spirit of life, manifests fully in Christ, pays the debt for mankinds fall so we can be indwelled again by His Spirit and be transformed back to origin. John 14-17. Pure grace, love, power of God for His creation. Hence the divine healing miracles and casting out of demons His first friend, i and many others experience up to this day! Some examples of these idiotic translation errors. Saved, from the Greek Sozo actually means: made complete, brought back to origin. Eternal life from the Greek Zoë means: life of God, divine life. "You will see Jesus coming on the clouds" actually reads: "You will perceive Jesus from a heavenly perspective"... who He is, what He did, who you are IN Him. "Everyone not found in the book of life will be thrown in the lake of fire" actually reads: "Everything not found in the book of life....". Every lie we believed about God and ourselves will vanish through Jesus's truth. Wrath from the Greek Orge means PASSION. So there is no wrath of God upon mankind. God IS love! Wrath from the Greek Thumos also means PASSION. There goes the "bowls of wrath" poured out by God over humanity... it's "bowls of boisterous PASSION" through Chris that are poured outt!!! Etc, etc, etc, look it up in the Kittel Theological Dictionary or in any Greek/Hebrew Strong's app. It's there. So now we have ignorant preachers parotting the lie that we have to be saved from God's wrath by Jesus (who is God....) and "have to repent or go to hell". Utter nonsense. In stead it is: God restores us through Christ by His own atoning blood sacrifice and indwelling Holy Spirit, from mankind's fall, to His own image and likeness (Christlikeness) because of... passion. For God so loved the world.... God cannot be tempted to do evil.... There is no turning or shifting with Him.... If you don't love you don't know God, for God is love.... The goal of all instruction is... love The Father Himself loves you.... Jesus healing all..... love Jesus raising the dead..... love Jesus casting out demons.... love Jesus controlling nature..... love If wrath would be in God, it would be the tenth fruit of the Spirit.... and it is not! Etc, etc , etc.

@@jesusdeity2010 ask yourself this, does our image reflect what best suits our environmental survival. What benefit would our limbs, nose, mouth, lungs, etc etc etc have for a God? We made God in our imagine, not the other way around. @@nontraditionalmommy try thinking, it does help. How did you get around the first verses of the bible with God creating and giving life? Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space, and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it. We KNOW these laws. We have NO doubts about them. We also KNOW that the laws of nature can't come about without a Lawgiver, God. So if you want to pretend to be smart, please give me the laugh by giving your science how creation really happened by natural means. Also, throw in how we got the laws of nature, naturally. Life only comes from life. Law of biogenesis. @@nontraditionalmommy To some a reminder, to some, new information: Bible banns not judging, Judging must be always righteous, not a false one. Being judgmental is not banned. After all Christians themselves must and are called to give a judgment daily to themselves. Christian is in daily battle against his or hers sinful flesh. Christian is busy winning souls to GOD, not letting satan having them. Christian prepares the most hardest times ahead, TRIBULATION - satan kingdom for 7 years. In which he or she, must be willing to get beheaded for CHRIST and for the Gospels sake. That`s what waits all those Christians who were left behind in rapture. Christian prays for the blessed hope - rapture , an escape from this nightmare which is coming. Christians are of a sound mind = 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. You left Christianity? - souls, you were never in the reality. One thing you all , who "left" leave out, is , SINFUL NATURE, WHOLE MANKIND SUFFERS FROM. Those lived in the 1st testament timeline, now , in church age and timeline to come, tribulation, all times mankind suffers from sinful nature. Before claiming GOD to be evil, 1st learn to understand HIS reasons. Mankind WAS IS AND REMAIN SICK AND EVIL. Many amongst us are: John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. I think it is great that we are all speaking our truth to help those who may be where we all were at that time. All in all, wonderful story && sorry for you losses but I am happy to hear that your mother still resides with you in your dear child. Peace && love 😊

Also check out The Holy Quran. it's the missing link . It's the only book where yhwh himself speaks directly. You can read in it what yhwh himself says about all what happened & about what is awaiting us in judgement day. Prophet Muhammad was the prophet of Deut18:18 , John1:21 & John16:13 who led us to all the truth. Blessings 😉💗

This video was everything I needed at this point in my life. I returned from Malaysia and Nepal, and been on a slow churn from organized Western Christianity. What you said about having a direct relationship with god reminds me of the Sikhs I met who said something similar. I'm also a Black woman and explored various religions and within other countries, and eventually came to some of the conclusions you have. I wish more people like you to be in my physical life

I heard your story and glad you have added inspiration and hope for those who are subject to persecution ,judgment and lack of love. It is sometimes hard to forgive ourselves and others who have hurt you. Love, kindness and forgiveness is part of the journey along the road of Life. That is what is meant by the road is narrow that leads to a wide peaceful place.

Thank you so much for sharing your story.. I’ve been on this same journey for the past 8 years putting the spotlight into the Christianity that I’ve grown up with since birth Pretty much. It’s a difficult road but the expansive mental and spiritual transformation, just like you stated, is more happiness and freedom, which can be scary for a “conditioned Christian”, because I felt guilty that I started to experience that freedom.. I’ve been an ordained Deacon, I’ve taught, preached, and was a professor in a biblical school.. I started to question things based on my experience, and expansive study.. quite a few things started to not make sense anymore, between the church environment and what the church taught, or “wanted me to know” Thru doctrine. Thank you for sharing

I have to say this was one the best KZread videos I’ve seen in a long while!! There’s a lot of great things about it, your story, your family, the love you have. But I want to say how much I agree with your concept of god. I’ve been away from Christianity for over forty years. Much of that time I’ve shared your view is that god/energy, is just way to big for any one religion. I feel like if there is a god, (he,she,it, they) encompass them all. I feel, at least for Christian’s, it’s the dogma and church that keeps them in the fold. Sure they can have spiritual experience, but it’s always with the background of what they believe. They can’t go beyond that. I assume that’s the case for other religions. And to your concept of god/energy, I want to add that physics, science, poetry, art, etc. all say that energy goes on. It doesn’t dissipate, or goes away. It just goes on and endures. And we are energy beings. I’m a retired RN, and you simply have to look at EKGs and EEGs to witness this electrical energy transposed to paper. That particular expression of energy may go away with death, but imo, it takes another form. And I loved the analogy of comparing religion to raising 12(!) kids. You have to to raise them differently, they’re not the same. Anyway, super great vid. It wasn’t that long as you said. I could have easily listened to more.

I been following your page for some time and I had always used your page for reference to prepare the kids for the birth at home I plan on having so I wanted to them see a family that looks like ours. This is my first time digging through your vids beyond the birth and I’m blown away!!! I have been, non Christian and non religious for a long time. I grew up in the Hall and I’m talkin knee deep door to door Saturday morning Tuesday Bible Study Thursday service meetings and Sunday watchtower studies!! my maternal were knee deep in the hall and my paternal family down south true Montgomery Al Christian’s. Next year will be my 2nd year homeschooling. It wasn’t a easy transition coming out of religion and I’m sure I spent a year or so full blown raging about things I had freshly learned and was unlearning . My first son is 22 now I had him at 15 too. The Hall wasn’t so friendly to me as a teen mom and I remember them being ashamed to talk to me and they shamed my mom and I can remember her telling some elders that I was living with my dad when I got pregnant when I’m fact I was definitely with her full time. I don’t miss anything about the Kingdom Hall. I’m just sitting here like wow wth how I did I never venture off to hear your backstory. I’m glad you were able to root yourself beyond the church. My family doesn’t understand when I say that I stopped feeling like I had to be in some congregation or believe in anything beyond myself out here to be able to live a righteous life. ❤

If you were talking about some other youtuber's opinion, then you could say, "Well, I think..." But we are talking about the ETERNAL, ALL-POWERFUL, CREATOR of the universe. Who says, "Can the gods of the other nations (religions) tell you the future? No! They are mere lifeless idols." But I..." and then He proceeds to give us over one thousand prophecies in the Bible to demonstrate that God's word can be trusted. He also adds over one hundred scientific facts in scripture in all fields of science that were written down, thousands of years BEFORE the great scientists of the world would discover them. For example, up to a few hundred years ago surgeons used to wash their hands in basins of water, until they discovered it became a bowl of germs. They started using running water. The Bible instructed the use of running water thousands of years earlier. Soldiers used to die from disease, until they finally figured out to do their toilet business outside the camp. The Bible thousands of years before this, instructed the Israeli soldiers to take a small shovel outside the camp and bury their waste. Doctors used to drain blood (blood-letting) from sick patients, but thousands of years ago the Bible said, the life is in the blood. It wasn't until a couple hundred years ago, that oceanographers discovered mountains rising off the ocean floor, but the Bible thousands of years ago spoke of these mountains. The Bible says, "It is God who spreads out the stars." Astrophysicists now say the very fabric of space is spreading out taking the galaxies along for the ride. Up until a about five hundred years ago, astronomers thought there was about 4,000-5,000 stars. But the Bible in Genesis compares the number of stars to the grains of sand along the seashore. Astronomers now say there are at least twice as many stars as sand on all the beaches of the world. Albert Einstein in his paper on relativity stated that matter, energy, space and time itself all had a beginning. But thousands of years earlier in Genesis chapter one the Bible says, "In the beginning (a reference to time having a beginning) God created the earth (matter) the heavens (space) and said let there be light (energy). I don't want to make this so long people won't read it, but you can go any Christian bookstore and find books on the hundreds and hundreds of fulfilled prophecies, in the Bible. There were 256 totally fulfilled prophecies concerning the birth, life, ministry, and death of Christ alone. So, God in HIS word has told of science thousands of years in advance of it being discovered by the great scientific minds of the world, He has spoken prophetic utterances that have come true, over and over again, in a literal, not metaphorical sense, again, to demonstrate His authority. This is GOD'S world, His universe. He is sovereign. Look, it's a great deal; surrender to HIs only means of forgiving our sins and reconciling ourselves to HIM, Christ dying on the cross, and reap eternal life, eternal peace, eternal health, and eternal joy. OR reject His offer of pardon and receive your just punishment. I choose Jesus Christ.

Im currently dating this guy and we are in love but he is a devout Christian and has told me that we can’t be together if we don’t view God and the Bible the same way. It sucks because I have planned my life with him. We’ve been together for 2 years and I’ve tried to do the church and reading the Bible thing, but there are aspects that I fundamentally disagree with. And he can’t seem accept my different view of the world…just wanted to share. Unfortunate because a love like ours has to end due to religion.

They say God is not a God of confusion, yet religion is the most confusing concept on earth 😓. All I know in this life is that I LOVE GOD!! I want and need God in my life but religion makes me feel like I’m never enough and I’m just not doing it right. Like I will never get to God. But I love all your views and points made. You articulated my thoughts so well. How can we expect God to only make one way to him ?!?? When people are born all over and around the earth. Ughh. The biggest thing I’m struggling with now is reading/adhering to the Bible. I was raised very religious so I feel wrong not trying to follow it but idk 😂😂😂

Oh my dear Jane, I found these links below particularly helpful. Been listening for the past two days. Hope it answers some of the queries you raised. What he mentioned that resonated with me was how it is idolatry when we no longer look at Christ when we are having a great day, Spirit-filled, victorious walk because we tend to feel it is because we did it right this time. I find it so encouraging that I can lean in on the cross in my most weakest times because I can never be good enough before the Most Holy God but because I trust in His sacrifice on the cross, faith is enough and counted to me as righteousness. I don't know but it really struck me yesterday and I just need to listen over and over again. All I know is that God wants us to worship Him His way and He has revealed it in His Scriptures how He wants us to approach Him. The Israelites tried to do it their way in the wilderness with a golden calf and it did not end well. It is by faith that we are accepted because He paid the price. It brings God the glory when we lean on Him. No flesh can glory in His presence. Abraham was called righteous because He had faith in God, even before he was circumcised. Uzzah touched the Ark of God and was struck : he thought his hands were cleaner than the soil which obeys God's word. We can never help God. He is altogether Holy. And yet He looks upon and hears the voice of the one who has a humble and contrite spirit: this is to be our attitude and walk of faith before God. We can never keep the whole law and commands perfectly in this life. Yet He lets us into His Heaven because we lean on Him. The just shall live by faith. m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/h5l50KeRgKW3hLA.html m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/emeuxplxYazKf7g.html&pp=QAFIAg%3D%3D m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioKsmNuCc6S3k9Y.html m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/fW1qx5Ote5rLfpc.html www.gotquestions.org/narrow-path.html Using my husband's KZread account to reply btw. It's great that you allowed yourself to explore different religions and their message. I'm in the middle of the video now and I feel I have to say three things: 1. It's not just Christianity but also Islam which tries to convert other people as much as they can. Look up the word 'Dawah' and you'll see. 2. No, not all religions preach the same thing, and love is not the central message of it. It is obedience to the laws of their supposed god(s) and love ususally restricted to those inside the religion, while those outside are sinners and evil or lost and destined for godly punishment. Granted, religions outside the Abrahamic faith are less judgemental but there is always some sort of punishment you 'bring on to yourself' if you don't follow the rules. How is that a product of a loving god? 3. God (in any shape or form) is not needed to love other people. We can do so out of our humanity. Also animals can love other animals. They don't need god's command for that. Neither do we.

I love this. Thank you for providing more information and clarity! You are so correct obedience and law are also a very common thread in most religions. Your point on animals loving each other is spot on! I never thought of love from this point of view, that deepens my belief and even shows me I still have growth and learning to do!

@@nontraditionalmommy If you ever watch how animal parents, be it birds or mammals, fight against other predators to ensure their offspring survives, or how a mother cat is tender with her kittens, or how a dog loves their human owner - I would all of that consider a form of love. Certainly, there is also a lot of cruelty in animals, but also with humans. As humans, we are more intelligent than animals, but our instincts as social creatures are always there. Then religion comes, hijacks that and says we only have love because of a god. But the bad things we have, are our own fault. What a perfect manipulative strategy to make people doubt their own strength and make them dependent on a 'god' nobody has ever seen or proven, and make them feel guilty and worthless at the same time. This is also the reason why it is never enough to feel 'saved' one time in Christianity. No, you have to do and feel it over and over again because you can never be sure. It is those few moments of feeling accepted in a religion that makes you feel worthless and guilty all the time, that people then think is god's love. No, it is your own love, your own strength, that Christianity (or religion in general) has robbed from you in the first place. And don't even get me started on how evil the concept is of a god who allows his own son to get tortured to death, to soothe his own anger at a creation that he himself made. And then present it like a gift of love. If a person did that to his son, that person would be locked up in a psychiatric hospital. Leaving religion behind is the greatest gift of freedom.

@@zerotwo7319 First of all, I can comment on videos as much as I like and I don't need your approval for that, and neither do I have to justify what value it provides to you. Secondly, as long as nobody can define what 'spirituality' is and can prove that it really exists, it will remain a fantasy in my eyes. Btw, I once believed in it as well, but after thorough examination and asking the hard questions I had to realize that spirituality is nothing but a fantasy world where people try to escape to from reality. Nothing is ever proven, nothing is thoroughly investigated, it is just belief, and critical questions are frowned upon. It is about keeping adults in a child's mindset to be able to take advantage of them. So I am asking you: What value does your comment have here? None. You are trying to promote a fantasy world just because you want to believe something.

@@godbyelebenohnegott Again, that is your perception about the situation. You put your values first, it is not wrong, but it shows you are not trying to understand the situation. For example: 'people cannot define spirituality' - I agree, what people say is more like personal experience, but what really it is? An escape? Just control? Prehaps this is a simplistic answer for a complex, multivariable human phenomena. - Why do we humans simplify things? So we do not spend too much energy - Why do we treat simplifications as valid answers? That's just how the brain is constructed. It will always be a narrative, a simplification, even in your example. we cannot contain all reality. - That's humility. You say religion is a fantasy world, so why are you so judgemental as a christian? I am an Atheist, and I am laughting at this situation. You want to stay away form religion, but you act as one of them. Reason is just one tiny region of the brain. Use the rest of it. - Like empathy, understanding and self perception. Perceive how limited we are. Accept other people limitations. That is my point. If you don't agree rationaly with me about our limitations. Give a search about Complex Systems and Chaotic systems. Ask yourself if the brain can contain that aspect of reality with a reasonable amount of precision. How would nature have evolved an area in the brain to deal with such systems.... Or are we blind to it?

This was well needed! I appreciate your candor and hearing your journey! I have deconstructed Christianity late last year 2021 and denounced Christianity early 2022. Like you, I was brought up non denominational however, I have religious trauma (won’t go into grand details about it) but I had to leave the religion for my own sanity.😢 I consider myself agnostic (I still believe there’s a God, just not through any religion) and I’m like you, it’s a force not a being with autonomy. I’m still working through the process of anxiety, feeling like this is a mistake, fear of what’s next after this life etc. but I couldn’t stand by a religion that wants to send people to hell and the very sexist/misogynistic rhetoric that was scripture/preached in church. I’m going to write a book about it! I’m so glad to find you, as a black woman myself it makes me feel good and relatable to find someone like me💜! Thank you again! And I’m #subscribed 🥰

Meaning outside of Christ, and my life before Christ (over 30yrs), I was dead, I revelled and lived in all the things I thought gave me life, to find out, in that, there's no hope.

Spirituality is an individuals journey. It cannot be accomplished or pursued within a group. Realizing your connection to all things and dissolving, the illusion of separation has to be done within the person. So it is wise to walk away from any ideology that prohibits that. Especially when that group is tied up in dogma hypocrisy. Uneducated in the origins and evolution of their own belief system. Freedom is something one must give to one’s self.

Hi! I just saw your video. You speak very well and I appreciate your Candor. I will be transparent and let you know that I am Christian, but I can relate to and understand church hurt and I am so sorry that you experienced that in the name of God. I have been a cult to word of faith church (which sounds like what you were in). But I had never really studied the Bible for myself. Just looked at man, and pretty much parroted what I heard them say. Now I know the difference between that, and knowing for oneself. Now, your father challenged you to read the Koran. I had so many questions as I listened to your story and then you answered some of them at the end with your 3 reasons. One question to you is had you really read the Bible through and through?

Hi Katrina! The church I attended was nondenominational. I have read the bible, the old testament, and the new. But have I read it through and through, I wouldn't say that. I have read it several times and did bible studies and such. I personally don't believe anyone who hasn't gone to seminary school or studied religious studies can say they have read the bible through and through. But that is my opinion. To answer your question, have I thoroughly read the bible? Yes, do I consider myself an expert, no. I agree with you; there is something different from leaning on man versus studying the bible yourself. Had I not studied the bible myself, I don't think I would have gained the strength to make the decision I did and have the beliefs I have today.

Many will fall away from the Faith in the final days, scripture foretells. “Religion” is Man in search of god. You have issues with the “institutional” church, understandably. Christianity is not like any other religion, it is a “relationship” with the most written about man in history and the Christ Lord our Savior.

This why many will be left behind and majority of those people are just like this women, who will eventually return back to God, but will do so in the 7 years of tribulation which will be even harder. The only way back to heaven in the 7 years of tribulation is to be persecuted or eventually accept the mark of the beast in order to avoid being killed.

I agree with you on this . I did grow up as a Jehovah’s Witness so for me I had to leave Christianity. I do however feel as though I am able to have a relationship with Jesus and the message of the Bible and it’s though prayer and asking to like you stated to find out what he wants me to know. And exactly God will get to everyone ultimately because the message of God is in our heart. Yes it is bigger than one religion although I do believe you can have a relationship with Christ and still acknowledge and honor that Christianity is not the only way. Jesus was not a Christian the religion itself like almost all major religions has changed and started after the prophets they began from.
