3 RCLT HD Toyotas on the Dusy-Ershim Trail - October 2021 (4th Gen 4Runners and Tacoma)

My footage from the October 2021 Dusy-Ershim trip with Mike from Marlin Crawler and Nate from the Gear Shop. This was the shakedown run for my rear 3-link and RCLT HD setup, and the 4Runner did not disappoint. This trail is no joke, and really tests both rig and driver. The scenery is incredible and the wheeling is top notch, instantly one of my favorites. More (and better) footage from this trip can be seen on Marlin Crawler's video: • The siiiick RCLT HD Du...

Right on! Been waiting for a video like this.. I recently ordered a 2.75” RCLT kit for my 2020 sr5, and I’m already in the process of installing a Tacobox with the 4.7:1 inchworm gear ⚙️. Looking forward to crawling around Alaska with it!

That's awesome! I have a TacoBox sitting in my garage, just need to source an FJ case then install it. Hopefully in Dec. After watching Mike's truck work, I had to have that low gearing. Even the green 4Runner with the Atlas 5:1 was a massive improvement over the stock 2.7:1 I hope to make it up to Alaska one day, it looks unreal.

Big Mike and his Tacoma can out wheel most trailered buggy’s and drive home and to this day his dad is the only person to make it up a certain waterfall with out a winch so that is an awesome thing you got to do here the 4 runner is a great platform when built right keep up the great work and videos coming

Did I really see a dude rock crawling in his rig, by himself, wearing a mask? LOL! I miss that trail and those beautiful beautiful views. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

Haha, yes you did. Not for covid tho. The rear wheel wells were completely cut out and he was getting insane amounts of dust into the cab. Thanks for watching!

That's awesome! My boss wheeled with him back in the day too, with the SCTLCA. Marlin must have wheeled with so many people haha, what a legend. It was surreal watching him look over my 4runner
