Harder look up Francisco Ruiz. Jump two rails then a slice on the object ball....way harder...that shot is hard enough without jumping...these woman hit the object ball first ..alot easier

People say jumping takes the skill out of the game 🙄
@dougoverhoff7568

Jumping, by using a specialty, shorter 'jump' cue, takes much of the skill out of the jump shot. But, the jump shot itself doesn't take away from the skills involved in competitive pool. In fact, it enhances it, but only if it's done with the regular cue. Jump cues are a gimmick, and should not be allowed in tournament play.

@Doug Overhoff jumping with accuracy takes skill 100% but don't take away from the people who have perfected it cause it is legal so in the meantime it's allowed. If pool adopted no jump cues that would be a hard thing to do seeing millions of people would have $100-500 cues that are deemed useless and not re-sellable. Plus companies or pool builders 2ho make them will lose out. I love kicking 2-4 rails to make a hit but since jump cues are allowed I use if shot allows better shape or chance. Just need to see it's an adopted part of the game and can only see it removed from Pro events not Amateur competition

@@LefishnI get your point, and appreciate your views. But, all sports have some restrictions on both the equipment allowed and in control of various other aspects involved in their respective games. That's done in order to preserve the integrity of their sports, and to try to maintain a higher level of proficiency in the skill levels each sport requires in order for one to play them at the professional level. Amateurs, on the other hand, can often pretty much do whatever they like, as they aren't regulated like the pros are. And, for that reason, I don't see the jump cue going away anytime soon, because they have made their way into the game for some time, now. But, the jump cue is a newly added 'gimmick', IMHO. And, it only came about due to the advent of the napless cloth, which came into common use back in the late 80's. I'm specifically referencing 'Simonis 860', and later to other brands and types of similar imported worsted cloths. The application of this new type cloth made getting the cueball airborne much more dificult with the player's regular cue. So, the jump shot immediately became a less available, or viable, weapon in a player's arsenal, even of the player well skilled at the jump. However, the trade-off of this "superior" newer cloth came some positives, such as with a more enhanced ease and consistency of cue ball control. And in being a 'faster', smoother playing cloth, it then contributed to a more consistent play, overall. Along with the better cloth, better quality and consistency of the balls were now in use. And, along with better more consistent racking devices, all this has resulted in players making ball(s) on the break shot more often. Consequently, the game of 9 ball lended itself to being much more of a runout proposition, and even the average players were now subject to running out more often. Along with all this, and with the earlier change to the use of the "one foul, ball in hand rule", safety play was now more of a determining factor in separating the better players from the weaker ones. The jump cue has made that distinction between skill levels somewhat less prevalent. And so, in my estimation, it has taken a certain amount of an element of skill away from the game. Where, once good kicking skills were usually one's only viable means of escape from being 'hooked', and though kicking is still often the preferred mode of escape, the jump cue has now made the skill of making a good defensive shot less of a determining factor. Especially at the pro level, where once there is an open shot, the pros are all quite capable of running out, and then often running multiple racks in succession, thereafter. So, safety play and kicking abilities are often what separates the best from the rest.

@@Lefishn The jump shot can be a legitimate, useful, very often beautiful and exciting part of the game, as long as it's done with the player's regular cue. But, I just feel it belongs in the same part of one's repertoire of shots as all of the other shots, and it should be accomplished with the same cue used for every other shot. I can, however, accept the use of the break cue as an optional and legally privileged piece of equipment, due partly to the stress it puts on the tip and shaft. But I generally eschew the use of one personally. I guess I'm just a traditionalist, having played for over 60 years. Peace!
It’s pure luck ,yes she did meant to hit full jump ball and possible of safety ,buttt making in the pot ,,,plzzzz,,,in snooker when it’s fluke shot ,they apologize to the opponent,,but pool they walk as if they played for it ,,,😂,,,what a joke

She called the shot and was trying to make it. It certainly is a low percentage shot but still involved skill to make it. I’ve made harder, low percentage, pool shots than this as a last resort but it still takes skill to make them.
