In this video I walk through 3 techniques that I used to create my most recent animation in Blender 2.8. I'll talk about using an array modifier with an object offset to produce radially symmetrical geometry, using curves with custom bevels to produce ropes and apply softbody physics to them, and using a particle system to distribute some blocks around an elevator shaft.
Here is the formula for the external angles of a regular polygon:
180 - [((n-2)*180) / n]
where n= the number of vertices of your polygon
