More like me trying to maintain my started detailing business lol. Tomorrow I got a car and customer complains it smells like piss and shit.

Bottom line,No smoking in ur car,plus no beer,food. Just Water.

I'm not a smoker, but I left my car to be wrapped, and they had my car for two weeks. When I got it back, I almost threw up in it!! They had so much smoke fumes in it that I had to leave my windows down for four days in the garage!! That helped, but I still smelled that little stinch. So I cleaned and conditioned my seats, and that did it. I sprayed some febreeze in the headliner before I did the seats. Then put an air freshener in to top it off..

i have this problem that whenever i bought an air freshner, to me it seems like icant smell it, but i guess its bec of not cleaning the cabin filter... thanks to this video i now know that it should be clean too

Change the cabin air filter occasionally is probably the best tip.

No. Care to explain it? And I’m sure you know exactly what mean and useless is that you are are! Did your wife leave you for a nice man with a job?

1. Don't smoke in your car 2. clean up after yourself each time you leave your car 3. clean your car weekly, a vacuum, brush down and even a spritz of carpet cleaner will go a long way. 4. wipe down the interior with APC, as long as you don't use harsh APC or a diluted APC and wipe down the residue afterwards then your interior won't mind it too much. 5.Get rid of stains as soon as possible, get a scrubbing brush and carpet cleaner then go to town after you vacuumed out your car. 6. Don't use air fresheners, if you have to then my advice is to grind up the air freshener, put it in a coffee filter and run water over it into a spray bottle, spritz that under the floor of the drivers and passenger seats... heat rises and so do smells Do not do the lick test, not only does it not work but I don't think you should be licking the exhaust pipe of your car, there are some parts of the car that get hot, such as under the carpet of the front passenger compartment is the catalytic converters, trust me on this they run hot by design and transfer the heat.

🇺🇸 Sprinkle baking powder on top of the odor spot. Let it sit for at least an hour. Then vacuum. Repeat until the odor goes away. 🇺🇸

i have stipped a car of seats i dont know what was spilt on the carpet but the smell is verry bad it has being siting like that for weeks nowi was told i have shampood steamed and extracted all liquids from the carpet i also shampooed the headliner of the car but the smell is still there what else can i try the smell is very bad and i cant find the source i cleaned all plastics all carpets seats everything i could think of i even dried out the car with a heater could it be that what ever was spilt went through the carpet then through the foam/spungy stuff and and down to the bare metal will i have to pull out all the carpet and stuff or is there another solution to mask the smell or something i even used baking soda for over 24 hours and the smell is still there i need a solution please from someoneit smells like someone took a shit in the car

Try using a drinking straw or use the nozzle supplied with a expanding foam can.

My wife says that my truck smells like a trash bin. So now I know what to do to make it smell pretty like her sweet smelling powder room car. Thanks Autoblog. I am cleaning my act tomorrow so that my wife can ride in my truck once a year and smell the fresh scent of a beauty salon all heavenly and such. Ahhhhhhhhh!

if anyone could help me, my special needs sister peed in my front seat, I managed to remove the pee and odor of the pee from the carpet underneath but now the carpet (not the removable ones) spells heavily like chemicals despite using water + wet vac, also I took the seat out and sprayed the bottom side of the chair with a sanitizing spray but now the seat smells a lot like this gross spray and still a little bit of pee, there are a lot electronics attached to the seat so I can just water it down, I've used baking soda on the carpet and wherever I could on the underside of the seat, I aired out my car and sprayed fabreeze, any ideas how to get this horrible smell out? would a bunch of car fresheners work?

Which products do you recommend for cleaning and where can I get the hose attachment ? Also can I use Oust or Lysol ?

You can use drops from an essential oil or whatever fresher you like.

The ac condenser is mounted in front of the radiator. The evaporator is what's installed inside the hvac system.

Similar to how Larry showed in the video. Remove the cabin filter, close the cabin filter door. Start engine, run hvac on outside air full cold full fan speed and spray some lysol or equivalent into the fresh air intake. Shut car off, let sit a few to allow lysol or cleaning agent to soak in killing the fungus or bacteria. Start car, run hvac on fresh air, full cold full fan speed with windows open to clear cleaner out of car. Install new cabin filter.

Im not a professional, but I drive a lot and my car gets smelly from time to time and here’s what I do: 1. Cleanup the inside of my car. 2. Turn my heat on high recycle. 3. Spray about 1/4 bottle of Ozium inside of my car. 4. Leave the car running for about 30 minutes. 5. Open the windows and let the car air out for about 15 minutes. It works great and it’s pretty easy. (Of course change the cabin filter about once a year)

I just use a little cologne on my ac vents.

Can you just use Lysol spray into the intake vents while the AC is on full blast with out recirculating on and all windows down? Or is this method in the video the best way to do it?

Just roll the windows down because then your whole car just smells like a lysol bottle and it can be a little strong🤣🤣

Ozone Generator is a good way to kill odors.

I never leave trash in my truck but most of the smell comes from sweat getting into my cloth seats so I keep a bottle of fabreze

I use Ozium which is at Walmart, auto stores, Walgreens. It has an actual air disinfectant in it, so it really helps with the musty moldy smell that air conditioners can get. I recognized the smell in hospitals too when rooms are getting disinfected between patients. You don't want to breathe the stuff too much yourself, even though it has a nice sweet smell. I spray it in the air conditioner intake, then run the a/c on recirculate for a few minutes with the doors closed and the windows up, while I wait outside the car.

Hey Robert! We couldn't find an extender being sold separately (let us know if you find one!) but it looks like there are some vent cleaners for sale that come with a longer tube for cleaning vents. Here's one example we found on Amazon: amzn.to/2RiZM7T

That goes away on its own. It usually takes a few days but it will go away. Speaking from several experiences here. The thing that worked best to cover up the smell IMO is the arm & hammer pet odor

A chemical product exploded Inside my car because I forgot it in the hot place and I cant get rid of the chemical smell in my car I cant drive it any more please help 🙏😭

In my experience baking soda does jack shit. It's the first thing recommended on every web site and video but it seems like no one actually tests it. Yeah it might slightly reduce a surface odor, but it can't magically remove odor causing chemicals that it isn't physically touching.

Especially a large Waffle Fry. There is more surface area for smelling to sublimate, evaporate, confiscate, obliterate, or whatever the hell it is does to stink up.

I traded my 2002 Liberty for a 09 Camry yesterday with an elderly couple and boy does that car smell!!! Like heavy body order and dirty clothes. I'm wiping down everything, febreeze 2x odor eliminator, next I'll try baking soda and a new cabin filte with the arm and hammer odor eliminator one! wish me luck because EWWWW!

Not all vehicles have a cabin filter. Don't go ripping panels apart

If you have seat covers, change or wash them!

Best way to get odors ,especially from smoker, in the upholstery is with an ozone generator, 2 or 3 15 minutes and all odor gone. If you are a hog and your car is a trash heap just burn it down ,it’s hopeless as are you

Such bad advice ! Goodness do not put baking soda in your car. It does absolutely nothing and it gets so deep in the fibers and makes a huge mess.

I don’t understand how this is normal for someone to have all this in their car, the condition of your interior is a reflection of your household, no matter what car you have, from a Kia to Porsche , there should never be this mess. Only problem my interior has is coming back after the gym sweat, but I make sure I clean it as soon as I can
