I think so too!

Pro tip: the 96-00 acura el is a Civic in disguise and it's STEERING WHEEL is exactly the same as an EM1 steering wheel but with an Acura symbol in the middle. So if you want the leather wrap(like I do) but don't want to spend the EM1 prices keep an eye out for the Acura el wheel. They're half as expensive... For now.

I bought a CRV model Manuel from Europe 👌🏽🔥

Use red sharpie to color needles. If u use paint the needles get to heavy for steeper motor. And will stick on hot days. Sharprie goes hard!

I found my SI cluster at the junk yard $25 huge score.

I agree with you on all fronts. Especially not using the 2 LED's on top of the cluster. I had before and it was simply WAY to bright,to the point of a distraction while driving at night.

just bought my first car a few months ago and every time I watch your videos it gets me thinking about getting a base model 6th gen civic to clean up and daily. something about the styling and interior of that car just appeals to me so much! clean ones are so hard to find up here in canada, even when i do they're always asking an insane price.

Bro not gonna lie I love watching your videos an also seeing my company sticker on your garage doors haha sick....

I have an auto EX and swapped in an auto CRV cluster with no problem. I also wanted to change the color of the light shinning down, so I pulled out the old blue shade and incandescent bulbs, then swapped in some RGB LED strip lights. I hooked them up to a PWM controller so I can change the color.

This takes me back. I had an Black 99 EK Sedan EX 5spd that I purchased in 2003 and sold in 2013. I had a B20Vtec (High compression B20 block with GSR head, SK2 Stage 1 cam, SK2 Manifold, and a couple other goodies)...Anyway, I had swapped in the 99 Si Cluster in it...Oh the memories...

I have an auto crv cluster in my 98 ex b16 swapped civic. Works perfectly.

That Cr-v cluster swap is actually genius

I prefer the OEM look as well but I do like the simple white overlays that just stick over the black gauge faces.

I did auto crv cluster and out it in my 99 ek sedan auto and works great!

I have a crv cluster in my coupe couldn't be happier. Also you can use a auto cluster I have it in my 5 speed.

The VTi Jordan cluster is another. Hard to find, but it's more aggressive than the EX Cluster, looks better than the CR-V or EL stuff, and is still cleaner than the Si/R cluster. I have one sitting in my closet and yet I no longer have an EK to put it in.

I just bought a 99 EJ8 coupe (EX Coupe) last month. It came with the EX cluster with a carbon fiber overlay, plus the AP1 S2000 steering wheel, which was exactly what I wanted (didn't really have the carbon overlay in mind).

Dang, I just ordered a EX cluster for my DX. Now after watching this video I wish I ordered the CRV one 😆 O well

I have an imported USDM civic dx and I live in europe. I just took a EDM cluster out of a 1.4 and swapped out the speedometer for the USDM one. So i have a tach and all that but still have my original mileage. EDM clusters are plentiful and not very expensive

I think the Logo on the cluster would be cool. You already have a super clean civic so if it is considered a bit "tacky" it just makes it more personal and unique.

Good stuff, Err' Day. In your next cluster video, maybe talk about cleaning up/polishing the salvaged clusters. Also, if the SI cluster is so sought after... You probably shouldn't be covering it up with a decal? Last thing you want is that sticker just oozin' in the middle of the summer lol

The lenses can of course be polished. I like to use a blue alki sprayer to clean the lens obviously. Then polish with hyper polish.

If you have a friend from the PH going back to the states you can have an SiR cluster from the PHDM model which amber lights, amber needles, 9k rpm, but has still blue meter rings, the better SiR gauge i think is from Canada which has mph kph readings and an actual SiR logo on the bottom part of the speedometer. Btw also the SiR fog lamps would be nice on your coupe.

When i pulled my D16 swap from the other civic couple months back it had 70k miles only reason im changing my cluster miles is cause i myself know the real miles on the swap. But lowering without knowing the miles on a swap to flex or sell as low miles isnt good to do.

u can ajust the civic ex cluster to match the si cluster rpm limit and put an overlay on it to mske it matcg

EM1 Clusters have already been fetching $450 just an FYI thats typically what they are listed for on ebay

Auto clusters and Canadian Acura EL clusters also work

swapping my 99 Honda civic Lx cluster “automatic with rpm guage”, and putting a crv cluster in it, same generation.

Having so many clusters from the Honda fam, I made a quick disconnect just to have a feel of a ek, dc, eg, dc5, ap2, and etc lol Btw EP3 almost fits in a EK/EJ dash.

Lol where I’m fron the ctr is just around $300, we got a lot of half cuts civics including the ek9

I just got a broken si cluster and put the faces and needles on my ex cluster and changed the miles to the miles on my swap

You can swap in an auto cluster. I had to about 7 years ago because my original ex 5 speed cluster died.

I never liked the SI logo and I swichted with a CRV overlay on the fuel and temp area
