Steve…I’m so sad 😢!! I felt like a bait and switch from Aburi restaurant. I was so excited seeing your video so I went to this restaurant to find out what you got as an influencer is different then someone who walks in from the street 😢 The big fabulous plate that you got…they did especially for you. You got 2 of all their special items that they gave only 1 for regular customers off of the “sashimi menu”. Worse was that each item was so thinly sliced…a little bigger than 1 chopstick for each item!! My jaw dropped at how poor the fish quality was and how tiny each sashimi pieces were. I would say that this place is a winner if all you wanted were rolls! Please go in to your next restaurant reviews without telling them you are an influencer. I just want to see what they really serve to regular customers like us.
For that price I wouldn’t go to DAMU. I Went to AYCE at Santa Ana called Sushi SCM. I believe they have another location at HB. They had AYCE sashimi , sushi, Korean ramen and fresh oyster for $45. If you don’t want sashimi then it’s only $35. We had party of 5 and from the beginning they told us that they r running promotions at this time . For Every 4 person 5th person eats free. Rice ratio to sushi was quarter of what DAMU Sushi serves.
You know, I've eaten at all three of these and I got to say, the best one in the OC is none of these. The hidden gem of the OC is Niku Sushi in Anaheim. When you consider their price point compared to other places and all the premium sushi that they offer without having to pay up to a premium tier, Niku Sushi is the best bang for your buck. Also.UNLIMITED BEEF RIB BONE TONKOTSU RAMEN!!! I really don't see how they don't go out of business compared to other places.

Sushi restaurants but Chinese and Korean owned. Not the same. Murasaki in Santa ana, Taiko in Irvine and Hamamori in Costa mesa are the best ones in OC. All Japanese Sushi chefs
The Carpaccio sushi looked the best.
I want to eat the shrimp tempura & the geso if it is all you can eat. LOL!!!

My omakase plate from x fish and all sushi I ordered were way different that what you got from x fish. So disappointing how thin the layer of each sushi and the presentation. I think they know you are a youtuber and gave you such an amazingly scrumptuous presentation of sushi plater. I had every sushi piece was like a paper thin. Your ika and my ika has 100 different looking!!lthe quality of each sushi was so low.

Be careful that the yellow tail looked like escolar
Sushi Damu is NOT worth the price. Fish is covered with sauce to mask the extremely smelly fish. Even their sushi was gross. If yiu like drinking place this place may suit you. Very dark inside feels like Korean bar. Steve- you need to try Ayce SCM in Santa Ana. Clean and great service, great for family.

Ayce SCM is not for sushi lovers, because of the fish quality :( But I 100% agree about the Sushi Damu!
