Hey Tom! Avid walleye fisherman here. How about a little challenge for ya since a lot of folks cannot afford chirp, side imaging, and mega live ( i am one of them folks) Turn off all of your fancy high end equipment, and go to bare bones sonar. Plain ole sonar.. sharp shooting just went out the window 🤣 it would make my day to see you try and fish the way a lot of other people do. Until then, every time i hear "sharp shooting" or "mega live" im gonna close out the video. Sorry bud

New to walleye fishing within the past several years and I can say that the techniques, lures and baits you suggest translate better than any other for Colorado and Wyoming lakes that I fish.

Tom, Thanks for sharing your approaches. I’ve been fishing clear reservoirs in my state targeting fish on bottom in 60-70 ft of water in June. I row troll using bottom bouncers but dropped down a jigging rap for the first time last trip. It worked! I’m now ready to fine tune and see where I can go with this. Thanks for the inspiration!

Awesome as always tom 👍 got one for ya....everything will eat the original floater, perch rapala #7. Caught walleye on it, perch, brook trout, pike...my favorite lure to chuck into any body of water. Of course, you don't need much advice at all hahaha take care!

Man we used a bunch of your techniques with humminbird SI and livescope for a week trip to lac seul. Two of us just caught 663 in 6 days and we don’t ever walleye fish (from southern IL). That place is unbelievable. I’d love to see what kind of damage you can do on that lake. Go do a Canada tour. We fished out of Lac Seul Outpost up in the chamberlain narrows. Absolutely incredible.

Tom you obviously know your stuff, and your vids are certainly informative! In saying that I notice more often than not there’s seldom if at all another boat around you. You seem to fish lakes without a ton of pressure… my question is this. Are these presentations similar in producing catch numbers on lakes that have a ton of jet ski, boat traffic, and fishermen traffic In general? How does fishing and boat traffic pressure affect the fish activity? Would love to see a video on this sometime! Love the videos, and keep em coming!

Many of the same baits but maybe trolled or fished differently

I know it's "forward facing imaging" but have you tried rear facing... watching a spinner rig? Does thay work?

I see you've customized the Search bait by removing a few of the beads to let the spinner work much better at slower speeds. I've had to do the same since 5 beads is way too many for the 3/8oz version.

Tom, have there been any recent issues reported with the walleye now app on Android? It's always worked great but lately keeps pausing during playback every few seconds. I have a great network connection and have no issues with KZread video.

Any other info where to get these search baits.? seems to be sold out everywhere at least I cant find any around my area.

Anyone else have issues with hooks on Kalin search bait? Too many casts hook gets hung on the front of lure/line. Trolling is fine and action good but any thoughts would love to know. Either hook happens the same

I will always show a mix of different ways to catch a fish. Some may be basic....others may require forward facing! Thanks

At what point are we no longer fishing? We thought the game changer was just knowing what the depth was, and then it was 2d sonar, then it was mapping, then it was side imaging, now forward facing sonar. Won't be long and every fish that is caught will be a stocked fish. No different than an aquarium. We really have taken the nature out of an activity that is suppose to bring us closer to it. Humans ruin everything.

I’m with you. Fishing to me always had a degree of chance to it. You fished several days with few to no fish so that when you got into them you really appreciated it. One shouldn’t have to sink $250,000 into boat, rods, reels, lures and electronics to enjoy this pastime we call a “sport”.

You lost me after the first lure is basically a revamped Erie derie, and then forward sonar lol, just cast them out and drift, caught a million walleyes that way . I definitely thumbs downed this.
