Try to keep a closed chamber or position your hands and arms as blockers while kicking u leave your targets spots open, your opponents are timing you. Excellent foot drills. Attack then move if not in offense be defensive. Thanks

Train your weak leg three times more than your good leg. Most people will give this a try and then get frustrated and stop. It's the person that keeps doing the three times more training that becomes champion. Good luck

Hi Alex, I am a Taekwondo player called Zaki. I very much love this fascination, love it, and believe me one day. I hope to be a hero and everyone knows me, but I want some of your help. How can I increase my speed and my reaction? I did not go into any combat round and never had friction before. What should I do

You should to practice your Tae Kwon Do kicks, punches, movements, balance, speeds OUT THERE, I mean, on streets as gas stations, on real floors, etc, etc.

Alex I can really see improvement in your kicking and footwork. You definitely have more dynamic speed. Training with Tony was a good move for you. One thing if I may say to improve your chance of winning in a tournament. As you know the highest chance to getting scored on is when your attacking. But you have to attack to score. To lessen the chance of your opponent scoring when you attack is to cover your body (scoring area's) when kicking. I simply call this cover. I trained my players to drop there trailing arm as a shield if you will. So if you doing a back leg roundhouse kick with your right leg extended cover your body with your left arm. Your front arm is up to protect your face. I do notice your body is wide open. Your arms open up away from your body. Which gives your opponent a higher scoring chance. Of course the way you are kicking generates more power but the secret is to get the same power and speed while protecting your scoring area's. I really enjoy your videos and you have come a very long way from that young girl of years ago. Tell Tony I said hi. If he does not remember me tell him I was Curt Barnetts coach back in the day when he was winning gold at both AAU and USAT nationals. Keep up the great work.

I agree. But it can be very challenging to undo or redo many years of instilled programmed training. Is the practitioner willing to do it? Whatever you said the sooner it's incorporated, then at that moment no one will be able to touch Alex in the ring.
