This channel specialises in narrating scary true stories. They are mostly collected from Reddit forums and 2chan, as well as from viewer submissions. They are similar to other channels such as Mr Nightmare and Letsread! I also do the occasional creepy pasta and countdown list.
If you would like to hear more creepy, fear inducing stories then please show your support by liking and subscribing, and until next time, remember: the best things happen in the dark.

The first case is not that hard to explain actually, these women were lived in poverty before they meet the shen brothers, selling their bodies for some scraps of money, when they met the shen brothers, they just need to do whatever the shen brothers told them to and they are getting some cuts from the money they robbed, far larger than the amount of money they receive from selling theur bodies, and a more comfortable lives.

Thanks lazy for bringing cases like Kenneth's to our attention. Without people like you he definitely would just be a another forgotten man. It *is* tragic that somebody would do anything like that to another person but equally as tragic (or in a way even more so) is the fact that cases like Kenneth's get less exposure/attention and therefore are less likely to find justice because "nobody cares". The sad part is that are those cases grow colder they are even less likely to be solved because there isn't continued pressure from friends/family because there is *NO* friends or family. The cop said it's important to not let those cases grow cold because it leaves the killer out here still, while thats true it's also important to not let them grow cold because it puts the message out that you can't just get away with killing somebody just because nobody cares about them.

  • @acevaver5425

The 2nd one sounds like a CIA recruitment coverup gone awry, when it had too much media attention. It has all the hallmarks anyway. As for the third, the victim was bludgeoned but it was done so by multiple perpetrators so a single serial killer sounds unlikely. The fact that they had such a big ass homemade toolbox waiting or in their vehicle make it seem like it was premeditated. Kenneth was probably into shady business since they mentioned him having bad acquaintances, that or it's even more likely that it's a gang killing since he came from Florida to Alabama.

But we have a lot of low income areas that have high drug/gang activity, and a large homeless population. He was probably just killed by some people he owed money to, or pissed of the wrong people too many times. #2 was almost certainly a coverup, though I don't know if uncle 2 was trying to help or do the opposite. #3 I think he just happened to be unlucky. Considering the crowd he hung with and the places he frequented, he probably pissed off the wrong person/group and got beat to death. That's not too uncommon. The toolbox is the only interesting/unusual aspect. You kind of get the sense that there was some efficiency in that, as if the person/people who disposed of the corpse had experience in doing so. So... either he ran afoul of some local crime organization or one of those that participated just happened to have experience with killing and/or disappearing people

honestly, the part that's the most upsetting to me is the "dissolved in acid and flushed down the toilet" thing I'm not entirely sure why but that level of desecration just makes my stomach churn and my blood boil I just get confused about how people can commit such violent and terrible acts on their fellow humans, and not even people who've done anything wrong; just random strangers trying to stay alive and then some treacherous evil bastards flushed her down a toilet and realistically it's not like the brothers were born inherently evil or something sure they might have had a predisposition to violent behavior but I don't think that sort of thing manifests without some sort of serious long-standing trauma or general material instability general feelsbadman vibes on this one

Perhaps a few mysteries to work on are these (the first two are kind of related): -the mahogany ship (a mysterious wreck on the Australian shores) -disappeared 17th century Dutch vessels who could have wrecked on the Australian coasts as well and possibly resulting in European heritage among Australian aboriginals. Some cases are clear cut (the Batavia) but that was just because survivors managed to travel onwards to Indonesia and get help. This is exceptional, in many cases, sailors might have died in Australia or may have made contact with the natives way before European contact with Australia is considered established -Did the polynesians get closer to Antarctica than ever thought of (they have saga's of 'floating white mountains') -Japanese stragglers, the rumours of Japanese ww2 era soldiers who remained hiding until the 21st century in the Solomon Islands, the Philippines and other regions -an uncontacted tribe in Vietnam, i came across some fractions of info but never got a clear story

@@theflyingcrud I like Lazy a lot but that turn of phrase gave me chills too. Also, when he said "let's hope the families have found closure". People say that I know, but it just seemed a hollow cliche on this occasion because the families will never have closure, their loved ones were missing forever and they would never know why. I can't imagine how heartbreaking that actually is so I wouldn't make a comment about closure. I would just wish that they can somehow find some peace in their heart to go on, even knowing what a dark awful species Humans truly are.

The United States is a massive country that people that live in a bubble in big cities, or only fly when they travel, just don't get. Oklahoma is huge and not very populated for it's size. There is plenty or area to dispose of bodies and I believe there are thousands, probably tens of thousands, all over the country that haven't been found. Like the Long Island bodies found a few years back, there are ones found by chance, but many never will be.

Part of why Serial Killers and such that go the route these people went force their recruitment victims to kill their true victims is because this tears down the person that the recruitment victim was and binds them to the group by guilt, trauma and penalty under law. It also helps that the serial killers who do this tend to be more emotional sadists, wanting to cause emotional suffering more or as much as physical suffering. Cults will use similar tactics if they are into murder, as well.
