⁠@@mattreid8292yee, you can’t really be at the top level in any weight class really without decent wrestling or take down defense. They should give Tai someone like Rozenstruik, he’s not going to wrestle Tai but isn’t going to demolish him with raw power like Pavlovich.

@@mattreid8292not only strikers but your typical heavyweight fatties, aka guys with the same style as Tuivasa himself and with bad physical shape. Against more technical and athletic fighters he literally shows nothing, his last 4 fights literally were beatdowns, and only Tybura one was on the ground, Gane, Volkov and Pavlovich destroyed him in the stand up (albeit he almost lucky punched Gane).

I love Tai's personality, and he's never in a boring fight, but he's got to evolve, or he'll forever be known as a brawler that's easily taken down and smashed or submitted.

Hopefully he doesn’t have to fight Ben Rothwell, that dudes a monster in bare knuckle. Would end up in similar fashion as his fight against Pavlovich, except maybe a bit quicker.

I mean even 38 years Marcin Tybura evolved as a fighter, he was a striker in his ufc debut and now he is a well rounded martial artist.

Feels like he doesn’t train to his fullest , he just wings it every fight

Gane an Amazing technician, best striker in the division with Tom, Pavlovich and Volkov. Tybura is a solide veteran who is 8-2 in his last 10 fights, very tough and resistant HW. Well rounded expérienced guy. Tai is still young for the division, he can beat Rozenstruik, Lima, Despain, Tafa brothers, Arlovski in a rematch and Lewis in a rematch, Tybura in a rematch, Walt Harris etc..
