If you tap “Select” to get the dots on the side can also tap on one of the dots and start dragging up or down to select multiple with one finger

Pro tip: put the flashlight on your back-tap if you want it to accidentally activate in public and make you look creepy as hell

Backtaps are so tricky! They activate randomly when you keep the phone say on a table or a hard surface!

I was trying to show the back tap feature at work to get the light on and it took me 20 attempts. Then I find I randomly activate the light when I don’t want to. It’s not a feature of the works for me.

@@user-jt1jv8vl9r It’s super finicky when there’s a case on the phone, even Apple’s own MagSafe cases, which sucks because I like using back tap for locking/unlocking the screen orientation.

With the notes app, you can also long hold the notes icon to take a picture of a document and it will scan it to pdf.

The back tap idea is cool for like 5 minutes. Then whatever you mapped to it will randomly happen throughout the day.

iPhone does power button commands, mine is set to make my phone black and white. It’s super useful for painting on the iPad or when you’re taking a photograph.

@@jinkuugajinkuuga4716 whenever you are on anything like this (gallery, file manager, emails, literally anything), hold your finger down on one thing until it vibrates or does something, then drag your finger across the screen and it will select everything your finger goes over. You only need one finger.

i just found out if you have Gmail on your phone you can just scroll your profile pictures to change between accounts. 🤣 useful if you are using more than one gmail. 😂

That back tap is going to be competing with crash detection to cause the most chaos while you're at Six Flags next summer. Those old wooden rollercoasters will have your camera flashing flipping on and off every 5 seconds.

You can also use the automations/shortcuts feature to leverage the image to text feature to make a quick little shortcut that sends your wipeboard on your fridge with your grocery list directly to a checkbox list on your iPhone to use at the store or to send to a roommate, partner, wtc

When you hold the spacebar on the keyboard, and slide left or right. You move the little typing thing that shows you where typing. It’s better than just tapping trying to edit text

Back tap feature I’ve been using from a long time! In the start, the Flash light just got switched on so frequently that I had to change the action to “turn off screen” 😂😂😂

The first tip is super helpful, btw just to add that in google photos you can long tap and drag to select multiple photo's.

Brilliant, thanks! I used the double/triple back tap for the control center/notification center, so I don't have to swipe down from the top corners, which is a stretch to do with one hand, especially with larger iphones.

I don’t remember turning on the bell notification for this guy’s content. It literally informed me he uploaded either way.

I’ve used the scan text thing on notes, but it’s kinda here and there so I just take a picture, copy the text from the image, then paste it in notes. Just works better for me.

Yes it's from the shorts channel. I think he's trying to test the YT algorithm to see if this video gets more views since it's on the main channel rather than the shorts channel, since he doesn't have as much subs on that channel as he does on the main.

The best solution is to just get an android. I suggest a Galaxy phone.

Been using the tap on the back for quite some time, and it does get confused between two and three often, I end up turning it off in the end and don’t miss it yet

I have used back tap for a while and I guess since I have a case it doesn’t work as well. It feels like it works about 50% of the time. Still a cool idea and convenient when it does work.

I didn’t know about the two finger drag, although that now explains a lot of accidental selecting.

Back tap was a game changer for me. Double tap for flashlight and triple tap for screenshot is my current setup. Almost as good as wrist gestures on the apple watch. Being able to unlock my front door via August lock complication with just a few flicks of my wrist and a pinch feels like wizardry

The notes scan is so super cool!!
