Learn how to make matcha ice cream at home without an ice cream maker or any eggs with our easy step-by-step recipe. In our video, we'll teach you how to get a smooth, silky, rich texture by using just a whisk and the right ingredients.

📝 Instead of a handheld whisk, you can also use a semi-automatic whisk or an ice cream machine (amzn.to/3qmQ1v4) to help you get an even creamier texture.
📝 The sieve is optional, but we highly recommend using one to help break up clumps in the matcha powder. This will also help get you a more even taste and save you some time from whisking.

2 tablespoons of Culinary-grade matcha powder - amzn.to/3YzW7VB
400g Condensed milk (1 can) - amzn.to/446BnWv
480g Heavy cream (2 cups)
📝 As mentioned in our matcha ice cream recipe video, we really don't think there's a big difference in taste between using ceremonial or culinary-grade powder. So, you're better off sticking to culinary grade, which will be cheaper. If you do have some ceremonial-grade powder that's nearing expiry, this is also a great way to finish it off.
📝 Optional ingredient to use is evaporated milk (amzn.to/3YxsKDa), which will make our recipe less sweet and bring out more of the green tea flavour here.

    Do try the less sweet & extra creamy matcha ice cream version! Instead of 1 can of condensed milk, use 1/2 can of evaporated milk and 1/2 of condensed milk. Enjoy! 😊

    First tried this at Christmas and it was just as good as the ice cream you get in dessert shops. Used extra thick double cream and it took no time to whisk 😊
