    Yes, I do something of this nature for sell here in Nigeria but mine it's coconut chips, it's properly dried so that it can last long and it's very tasty.

    Yes. I even have dates powder at home, but I wanted the original recipe. Even dates syrup will work. Although it may not clump like when you use sugar

    Well it turned out well. Had to throw out the burnt sugar. But I couldn't get it to form balls. It was soft and didn't harden. Still sweet though.

    Thank you for this recipe. I tried it today and tasted good but didn't stick together. I rolled it into small balls while it was still warm, but each time I picked up a ball, it crumbled. Any idea what went wrong, pls?

    Thank you for sharing this feedback. I’m thinking that may be because there’s still some moisture in it. If you allowed the water released by the coconut dry up, it should stick

    Good morning ma. Did you allow the water from the coconut dry up? That step is very important to enable it stick. If the water released from the coconut doesn’t dry up, it won’t clump together

    Also make sure the sugar caramelizes well. That is what makes the coconut sticky

    Hi Remi! My grandfather was from Barbados. He used to make coconut candy on occasion but I was just a child and didn’t know the process or ingredients.     Sorry about that. It’s possible you didn’t allow the water from the coconut dry out completely before turning off the stove. You need to make sure all the water is gone
